Fun was had. Saw Touché Amoré, Japandroids, Cults, Weakerthans, Broken Social Scene, Guided by Voices, Descendents, and Explosions in the Sky. Would have stayed for Death From Above but was too tired. Great fest. Even the comedy there was good, did you catch any of it?

Yeah, good call on the alarm. I'm going for Left and Leaving and Reconstruction Site. I'm really stoked; I haven't been able to see them yet.

Indeed! Plus they'll be at the Bottom of the Hill the day before. So I'll have Outside Lands (8.12-8.14) then BTMI! (8.15 and 8.16). I don't know how I'll survive. Kinda disappointed BTMI isnt playing at Nickel City like the past 3 summers though; it was becoming a tradition. More importantly did you see that The Weakerthans are playing all their albums over the course of 4 nights in SF? I'm doing whatever it taked to see them play Left and Leaving. Haha, if there's a parade that's definitely how it's going down. But knowing our luck as Sharks fans, game 7 will somehow end up falling on the same night as the shows.

Yeah, that makes the most sense. Especially since the Lawrence Arms show is also the Short Round reunion D: Keep in touch, we can definitely do that :D

Apparently we have very low compatibility, even with the obscene amount of Dolly Parton I listen to. I don't understand how this is possible.

From the comments: UPDATE: "The Shape of Punk To Come" is getting reissued, NO REUNION Mar. 29, 2010 Looks like more information has come out about the earlier Refused story. Exclaim.Ca has confirmed that Refused's 1998 album The Shape of Punk To Come is set for a deluxe reissue to be released on June 8, 2010 by Epitaph Records. Also, sorry everyone, there will be no reunion. Vocalist Dennis Lyxzen emailed Buddyhead and confirmed the non-togetherness of the band. That statement can be read below. Yep, no reunion, folks. In a recent email to Buddyhead, Lyxzén wrote: “No, we are not reforming. Me and David are going on tour next week with our new Hardcore band Ac4 — sleeping on kids floors and playing doordeals, that seems to be more in line with what we deserve… haha.” Read more: http://www.punknews.org/article/37669#ixzz0jdzTO5iw

FYI, the national added a second show at The Fox which alleviates the issue of them playing the same night as Nada Surf.

Ahh, mix-tapes...a great pastime of mine!! I was very artistic when it came to making mix-tapes, I made sure the end of one song would mesh with the opening of another. Sometimes it would take me days to perfect my mix-tape technique, which is unfortunately not being used to it's former potential anymore. After Hours is one of the greatest simplistic pop songs in my opinion, Northern Sky by Nick Drake is another, but yeah, it's too bad Mo Tucker didn't sing on more Velvet Underground songs. I do secretly love songs.maybe not all, but quite a bit, in my secret loved tracks you may even find a few Hall & Oates songs, "May" being the keyword!! :P

oh man, sounds good. i'm way up in the nosebleeds somewhere though, because the venue is pretty big but i don't really care as long as i'm there. i'm sure all of the acts will be killer too and on the odd chance you find yourself on the east coast around thanksgiving you know who to get in touch with to get your concert fix, haha.
