Happy 8th scrobbling anniversary today! ... How fast time passed by listening to your >2900 bands ... May you be blessed with many such musical cake days, and many more interesting music experiences in the years to come ... What are your views about lastfm now ( and what did you figure to get back when you joined us)? ... P.S. I'll present this piece (e.g. available on youtube) to your "birthday": ... genre: minimal/experimental -> ... "4 plus 4 can be 8" (with 100 beats/mins): ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/4+plus+4+can+be+8 -> this is the 2nd track, from album #6 ("Maestro 2015 (violin meets piano)") ... btw: here in Germany chancellor Angela Merkel continued the action steps against Corona disease, once more. Is this same at your place, Joseph ?

Happy 2019 from Germany, Joseph, time really flies... you use lastfm for over 6 years :-) ... You are - evidently - a lastFM addict, as me!... When you bring back to mind now, how did your musical exploration progress over time? ... I am wishing all the best for your upcoming 115k scrobbles, and 2700 artists scrobbled milestones ... How I came by your user page? ... lastfm shows you as #3 in this weekly "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts: last DOT fm/user/zuhaldemiroglu/listening-report/week ...AND at #6 position in the "Discovery Leaderboard" stats! ... I'm only 1x in there ... It's nice to meet you

I read your review. Very well written as always. I'm still really happy about finding your music blog. By the way, who listens to Lost In Kiev knows that these guys work with samples and spoken word. The good thing about post-rock et cetera with vocals is it never annoys me. With folk or pop music it extremely depends on my mood if I can listen to the voice and vocals. Never happened with post-rock.

Thanks. Do you have a site of your own that I can follow? I love seeing what people with similar taste to me listen to - hence why Last.fm is so cool! As for Lost in Kiev, I had heard one track years ago and it stood out to me, but I never actually looked them up. I didn't know that they work with lots of samples throughout most of their music. It made the album a more interesting listen because it could work just as well in the background, but had a story to draw you in and make you pay attention.

No, I don't have a blog or other site of my own. I tried but I guess I'm not a blogger. But who knows. Maybe one day.

Thank you for sharing the album review of Wide Awake by Christoffer Franzen! It's nicely done and really manages to capture the mood of the music. Greetings from Germany 🎧

Hello Joseph, I see you had interest in lastfm statistics tools about 2 weeks ago. What do you think about your wavegraph? It shows your top100 artists over ca. 3 years. I can see about 3 phases in your listening history where your artists shifted. I added also a zoomed-in version (since 2014), so you can see more details of the recent trends... Don't forget to look at the existing graphs of the other >950 lastfm users. Any feedback (in group [group]Musicology[/group]) is appreciated.
