At the time, I didn't know the importance of downloads via torrent and forums about underground music.

Hey, there! :-) First of all, <nods her head repeatedly, a huge smile on her face> I trust your new-found appreciation for Acid Bath is still very much ongoing? :p ;-) And secondly, thank you for your concern, I am...better. :-) Even better when music is playing. :-) How have you been?

Hey Scott . Yeah really diggin' Burn River Burn's bluesy stoner vibe. I only found out about them recently from checking out a friends Bandcamp page. Buying the album was a real no brainer.

Ya man they are really good. In fact I had no idea they even existed until I stumbled upon their bandcamp page just the other day. They are definitely down my alley as far as a hybrid of hardcore, punk and stoner rock. Cool shit. I just started scrobbling on here the other day after a long break, so looks like its going noticed. Take care dude!

I should be so lucky. :-) Given previous experience, an opportunity to see them live is not an opportunity I am willing to pass up on. Especially since those don't come along often. <shrugs> Sometimes, money is no object. :-) I won't be playing favourites on this occasion. :p ;-)

Hey there! ;-) Yeah, I figure...since they're quite literally playing in my backyard, I'm obligated to attend. <chuckles to herself> Nah, odds are I would've ventured across the border if need be. ;-) So...since you'll be seeing them first, I'll be relying on you to tell me what to expect. ;-) In any case, show-wise, this year is really shaping up nicely. June particularly. Just one word and my levels of excitement spike. The word is: Clutch. :-)

<giggles> Aww...that's really great to hear. :-) And I'm not jealous at all. :p As for that festival you are keen on...May is a while away, I'm sure you can find a way to pull it off, if it's something you really want. <pauses, opens a new tab, googles the lineup> Yeah. I think you have to. It'd be blasphemous to miss it! ;-)

Hey, Scott! It's great to hear from you! ;-) Sure, it's been a long time, but you've crossed my mind, on occasion! <winks mischievously> I was wondering if you created an account...and I'm glad to see that you have! So...A Beastwood T-shirt, huh? A while back, I was tempted, too. Still kind of am. :-) Anyway, I trust you've been well? Hopefully busy having a good time? ;-) P.S. Yep, I'm not that difficult to find. ;-)

Hey man, no problem. Good to have fellow music fanatics in the network. I'd take you up on that shot o whiskey anyday. Until then I'll keep tabs on music listening. Ya, I dig that Ablazing Grace and Dark Valley Harvesters a lot. They seem to be pretty obscure overall. If you have bandcamp, I camp out there quite a bit, sing Cumbaya and shit a lot roast marshmellows.... Feel free to follow. https://bandcamp.com/buck09

Hey. ;-) I can't say that I have! But I shall rectify that situation promptly. :-)

Well...I'm sure it was a valiant effort! ;-) It's not really an ideal way of learning a language...in fact, it's probably the hardest. And I'm sure a lot of people get a little intimidated and/or put off once they realize how complicated it is. Nothing a little exposure wouldn't fix though! :-) If nothing else is available and a trip is out of the question, there's always music. I found that most helpful when I started learning Dutch. :-) And...um...thank you, I try. There's a lot of room for improvement though, I'm aware of that. :-)

Had I not run out of space, I would've added: is it really home, or do you get homesick? :-) I can relate, somewhat. I'm originally from the east of the country, but have been living in the capital for the last 10 years...and although Croatia is a small country, there's a lot of diversity here. The differences are often palpable. :-) People's mentality...it takes getting used to. :-) Anyway...I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, I'm pretty sure that, when it comes to this region, you're more informed than most. :-) So...did you ever crack that book open? :-)

DevilishDisastr
:-) True. But I noticed hints of nostalgia for the old Last.fm here and there. And there have been changes since the time I joined, most of which I found difficult to appreciate...but apparently one can get used to pretty much anything that's thrown at him. Or he can successfully work around the things that bother him. As long as there's a reason to do it, of course. :-) ...As for Bandcamp, yes, you have to buy something and then they invite you to make a profile. Once you do, you can follow artists and other fans and, if you do so, you get email notifications whenever one of the artists you chose to follow releases new music, or when one of the fans purchases new stuff. There are a number of really cool features. :-) There are no inboxes or shoutboxes or walls, so you don't interact with other people directly...but you can write little reviews and read other people's and stuff. It's all about the music. :-) <chuckles to herself> So...a buckeye? :-)

I think I know what you mean. :-) I guess...like any other hangout, virtual or otherwise, this place gets a little stale at times. At some point, it starts to feel a bit like...work. Requires effort. Effort you're not really ready to put in. But! <pauses dramatically> as you can see, there are enclaves of bubbling activity! ;-) And...speaking of...Bandcamp is another such place. :-) I've been known to show my face there occasionally as well. ;-) Do you have a profile there as well, or are you...incognito? :D As for the movie posters...I kind of collect those. Posters as well as actual movies. I'm a sucker for B & Z-Movies, and the like. :-) Anyway, yep...born and raised in good ol' Croatia. I did spend some time in other European countries, but never more than half a year at a time so...it hardly counts. :-) What part of the US do you call home?

Hey, Scott! ;-) Let's. :-) I can't tell you how refreshing it is when there's a shout following the request. Often it seems like people here (and everywhere else apparently) are more interested in collecting (friends, bands, and whatnot), than communicating/interacting. And as far as social networks go, this one's my favourite. ;-) So...nice to meet ya! Hopefully there'll be a few more of these going back and forth. ;-) ...Oh and...I go by Ana. ;-)

Hey! Sure thing, thanks for accepting =] Well we're not big and have always had a really low budget so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of us. We started off in 2006 and have played over 100 shows at decent venues like Vinyl, Masquerade for 3rd time May 28th. We're only played on about a dozen radio stations and written about in several media outlets. But we're really excited about the CD we're working on now! Thanks so much for taking the time to check us out, means a ton to us =]

I think you're right about the scrobbling from Labtones being a bigger factor then the actual tagging of it. The tag is only built by about 6 people and used 404 times. I've also tagged you with [tag]under 2000 listeners[/tag] (built by 1,652 people, used 322,842 times) and that should have had a bigger impact.

Bug80
You're welcome. Probably your similar artists have these tags since most of your scrobbles come from Labtones (that's where your fans are, it seems :) ). And since most Labtones artists seem to be tagged with the same tag, it might seem to you that it is messing up your similarities (but again, I don't think that that is happening)

Hi Scott, I would like to help you, however I did not tag your band with "discovered at labtones", so I cannot remove it. Apparently, someone else did. By the way, I wonder if last.fm uses tags for their similarity algorithm, as far as I know it is only based on people's last.fm libraries.
