Hello lorddeathman! Great musical taste! I need to check out some of the artists in your library. I'm curious to know what you'd think of my friends' band, MANKIND: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bedN-v9QMwc . Cheers from Sweden

No, I don't have Spotify. I hate their way of doing things; bottom line is that I don't wanna pay for it, haha. I love Gramercy; my first few concerts were there and it remains one of my favorite venues as I love the roominess of it. It's much better than those cramped venues like Irving Plaza. =P

Hey, man! Thanks, I can't wait. I've been meaning to check out the pillows for the longest; I always do that and never get around to it. I'm glad you did enjoy at least some of Asobi Seksu haha. I definitely understand what you mean about your preference in female Japanese vocals; her English is so good. I actually don't know those bands you mentioned, so I shall add them to my list of bands to try, naturally. =] Shinsei Kamattechan sounds very interesting, too! Thanks for the recommendations, of course.

Yeah man, I had my ticket and I was pumped then they rescheduled it to a Tuesday. -_- I forgot there's even going to be an opening band haha; I have to check out Soft Moon! Wow, all of what you mentioned sounds great. I am all about childish Japanese girl vocals especially. =P Thanks for a great list of stuff to listen to! Off I go...

Awesome! Yeah, my mind was definitely blown as well after their performance at the Temple. It was so powerful...so beautiful, haha. I'm actually not familiar with the lineup for the event this year except Mogwai, who I will be seeing at Webster Hall in September. I've heard of The Album Leaf, Portishead, Deerhoof, Swans, and I think I've listened to Battles before...what bands would you recommend?

Haha, I agree, Asobi Seksu's name is kinda annoying, but I just decided to check out their first album one day and I loved it. I still consider that to be their best album but their latest, Fluorescence, is also very cool. What have you already heard? Also worth checking out is their beautiful acoustic album, Rewolf. I loved the Altar show; I was at the Masonic Temple and it remains the best show I've been to.

yeah, but as I said depending on the lineup, and if a kickass act is announced for Saturday I'll likely get fucked out of a ticket, considering how fast weekend passes sold out, you know? I have my Sunday ticket, but that was bought based on the fact that a friend of mine raves about ATP every year and I wanted to experience it for myself. So, in the event I get screwed out of a Saturday pass I'd buy yours.

Hi :) I hope I will be able to see the show tomorrow :) But I'm leaving NYC on Sunday and nothing is ready yet %) So if something goes wrong with me preparation for departure - my ticket will be the yours ... But I hope to see the show, though ))

Would you like an invite to a "top secret" invite only private tracker web site, that is a treasure trove of great ATP music which 90% are either in flac of VBR? Curtains is up on there. Or I could just send it to you, if you like.

Konbanwaa! Yep, I've got Curtains. You need it? You have a very unique operation going on... this interests me. Boris+AKB48! I really need to download some AKB48.

Right now all 3 of the tickets I have are accounted for-- but if something happens, and for some reason I can't go I'll make sure fellow ATPNYer BigBenny Bear gets my ticket to you. Promise!

Yes, that was me! Good memory; it was a pleasure to meet you. I think Ben/VG guy was with me during the That Fuck Buttons set-- which was was pretty fab-- I've seen them a handful of times & they always surpass all of my expectations. ATP NY gets better and better, and I hope all the negative rumors are put to rest soon & it takes place again next year. I'm still a bit dazed knowing the weekend is already over.

Plantlife = Gateway Drug. SO I also saw Boris this Sunday. My socks were rocked clean off. Amazing. So are you gonna see Alter performed live in it's entirety? I want the full report on the events from Kutshers.

Carla was at the merch table and didn't even comment on how much I love her playing AND HER! I didn't want to embarrass myself and look like a idiot. But she did say that my Björk shirt was "awesome" and I replied "thanx". A great show! PLANTLIFE LIVE! *dies~* I hope your shows go well!

Thanks for the recommendation about "Ask Questions Later", I'm going to check it out. And yeah, I'm pretty upset about how they broke up.

If only had money, I would love to do that. I only have $600 saved up that's it, and it will probably dwindle to nothing very shortly. As for rumor control, there is indeed MORE of the limited edition Boris/Perfume Split. There are additional 50 copies, but it has a different b-side locked groove. Merzbow is featured on the other version. Which is a recording of him playing his favourite Perfume track on his Macbook, while downloading porn using dial-up, which is in turn, fed thru a distortion pedal. The colour for this is black with metallic pink splatter.

I swear 90% of the people on this site are so impatient and ignorant. "LEAK!! LEAK!! ahhh what's this shit? This is stupid. This sucks! I waited all this time for this shit." That's when you look at their charts and its Green Day, The Beatles, and Linkin Park.

Yeah, I hear Atsuo and Wata even sing some backing vocals on the Perfume track. That 7" has been in my wantlist for a long time.

Alec-chan. Hai! Thanks very much for the comment, those impatient Pitchfork-reading hipsters need to be told sometimes. We must learn to all out to support bands like Autolux, they really deserve it and need it. Like I'd pay double for the album if I knew the money was going to ATP Records. I live and breathe ATP. AND I have yet to ever to attend one, lucky you. Stupid Western Canadian :(
