It's a really good mix of their older and newer stuff. There's mostly brutal growls with rhythm guitars while the chorus is more poppy with clean vocals and melodic riffs. The whole song has this eastern instrument playing (which Amorphis uses a lot in their songs) and if the whole album will be anything like Death Of A King, it should be nice mix of Tales from the thousand lakes + eclipse, which would be great. And sadly I cannot find the song online, it was in youtube for few hours but got deleted :/

Hmm Enchanted by the Moon was immense for sure, but I was suprised how different it was live. It didn't have so eerie feeling and the guitars were much more loud, so you couldn't hear the keyboards so well. It it wasn't bad by any means, I just think Nightbird's Song and Shades of Gray worked better live. As for Tomis vocals, godlike. When I heard Shades of Gray first time back in Dec 2012 vocals were mellow compared the what Tomi was capable this time.

Oh man, that gig.. It was perfect, Circle sounded much more powerful live and it was a lot better than I expected. Once again Joutsen's vocals were top notch, even better than on CD. Nightbird's Song was utterly awesome and pretty much every song was live material. This time crowd was positively energetic and the band seemed to be very pleased as well. Towards the end, Joutsen commented their gig saying something like "Everything has went as perfectly as possible" and that was the case :P

Thanks! It's great to get some positive feedback. I'm usually pretty lazy in songwriting and have a lot to learn, but I think I nailed this song very well. Everything is played by me, and I think this is perhaps the best song I have made so far. At least the guitar parts are pretty neat. Drums are made with free program so nothing too great there.

First of all it should be available on Spotify, at least it is for me. There is also 1:30 min sample on Japan itunes. As for the song it's pretty much the same riff over and over again with different variations. If you have listened the sample, it pretty much describes the whole song. There is also some clean vocals near the end of the song (but they last only 30 sec). Very dreamy and with strong echo. The song is great, with awesome guitar work but I just wish there were more vocals, because it's not like those wouldn't have fit anywhere. It's also stupid this is a separate bonus songs, because it could have been nice intro or outro song for the album.

Yep Circle release show, check. As for Hyvinkää, yes it is pretty far away and I will be working whole summer, so I need to see what I can attend to. So I can't say anything certain at the time being, but we'll see. It's great to see someone show intrest in Finland. I don't think there's nothing great in Helsinki, but north and Lapland are nice places at summer.

Yeah Dead Man's Dream blew me away, I just want to listen it nonstop x) I was also positively suprised by Narrow Path and how energetic it was. Nightbird's Song is epic as ever and will surely be one of my favourite tracks. There's also this bonus song "His Story" that I heard first time today and it sounds very promising, check the link at Amorphis shoutbox

I like it when the Burzum band photo switches to the moody colour shot of young Varg in gauntlets^

Yes I do like their first album very mush, but after that their music doesn't do much to me.

Yes of course. Doing otherwise would be just incredibly stupid :D Btw as we're speaking about versatile music taste, what's your favourite non-metal genre? I'm always interested to hear what other kinds of music our fellow metalheads listen, because that way I can find interesting new music myself.

Yeah \,,/ I've listened a lot of pagan metal lately. You seem to have very versatile music taste. That's a good thing! Too many metalheads only seem to care about "true" metal nowadays and are not even trying any other kinds of music.
