By the way, Daniel Johnston is/was in a band called [artist] The Electric Ghosts [/artist] - reference to a line in a Dylan song -can't think which one. The guy is a Beetles devotee so it might be a line from Dear Prudence. Lot's of excellent psychedelic music came out of a little indie record company called Shimmy Disc & if you ever see an artist you've never heard of on that label get it! If it doesn't kick ass I'll send you the cash you spent on it! Most of the bands on that label sounded like The Olivia Tremor Control. l8r, Smithy.

Hey morning bro, afternoon there : ) Thanks for all the nice thoughts and also the same to you!! We have exquisite taste in music lol! I laughed a little when you reminded me some of the bands we love started a few years before you were even born! OMG time is faster than the speed of light. I'm curious tho on that subject. I.e - songs from Pearl Jam's "Ten" (Alive, Jeremy etc) or even early 90s Red Hot Chili Peppers are starting to sound different now. Does music from back then sound "old"? Man when I first heard the RHCP's song "Under the Bridge" I was kinda blown away -even tho they'd been around for awhile- even then that song sounded so new, raw and almost garage bandish. Now it's played on light rock stations along w/Smells Like Teen Spirit and they sound like any another songs, so to speak. Haven't had my coffee yet but I think my top 5 favorite bands would be Flaming Lips,Acid Mother's Temple, Floyd, Bongwater, & the BH Surfers.

Hey man, thanks for the friend request! You've got great taste in music. Lots of classic stuff in yr charts. Jane's Addiction, Nirvana,Sonic Youth but I was really impressed to see Daniel Johnston in there. The list could go on... Acid Mother's Temple(best psychedelic band on the planet thus far) and The Olivia Tremor Control. to name just one more, couldn't help it. What's yer fave Daniel Johnston album? MIne was "1990". Probably because it came out at a time when I moving out of my folks home to get married. As is you wanted my life story ffs! : ) You would've gone crazy at Lollapalooza 90'. I think Jane's Addiction was head lining the night but before them were Pearl Jam, NIrvana, Sound Garden, Dinosaur Jr, Alice in Chains. Off on the side show stages a few bands like Sebadoh played and even the Orb.
