I see you possibly could be going to see The Dillinger Escape Plan down Concorde 2 on the 31st. If you wanted to we could meet up before the show, but I won't get there for doors I don't believe, which a slight bummer cause I quite like seeing the support bands, but I'll be coming straight from work so I'll get there as fast as trains and walking will allow to get me there at whatever time! Hope to meet up with you or bump into you at the gig! That's if you're going of course! =D

Never heard of either of those fests, just looking them up! They get a big turn out? Haha, I know what you mean, I try and listen to every band before going to a big fest, but sometimes there's just too many to keep up with.

Yeah I see what you mean, a more punk-ish band would probably be better suited, but if it gets tickets sold they're probably happy. I reckon they'd be pretty ace to watch! Never heard/listened to any of those others... Think I might have a night of music planned now haha.

The Hevy lineup is still half-decent (although NOFX would make it 5x better!). Couple of my mates are going and they love KSE, so it kinda suits them - you not a big fan I take it? :P Comeback Kid would probably be one of my favs though!

Would be ace if they could stick it out for a couple more years, as long as they tour with their old-stuff. Bad Religion aren't too bad, but nothing on NOFX, sadly!

What did you think of the new Hevy announcement? Apparently it's not being held in the same place this year :\ Also there's meant to be a new Reading announcement tomorrow

Ah fair enough, personally I thought Folie a Deux was FOB best album but I totally understand why so many people prefer their debut album the most. Who's playing Hit The Deck?

How was your Gnarwolves gig? Not long now til I can afford my Reading ticket :D Have you listened to any of the new FOB stuff and if so what do you think?

Whattttt, this summer and you saw them?! Argh, I'm upset for not knowing and jealous. Haha, I'm pretty stunned they're still alive as well, hopefully they sort out another tour at some point... would be pretty ace to see them live I imagine!

I've just got the new BMTH on repeat atm. One of my other friends recommended Gnarwolves so I think I shall check them out at some point soon.

I've never heard of 100% Mosh I have to say. There used to be a decent promotion company in Witney called Apple Pirate but they've shut down now which I guess is fair enough since people stopped coming to gigs. There's a good promotion company in Reading called Bring The Noise but I think they are shutting down too :\ What bands are you jamming atm?

I can't even remember the last time they came to the UK! Would definitely hop on tickets if they toured though, especially if they played their older stuff. Had a year where I couldn't go a day without listening to Linoleum haha.

Thanks for the add. Your charts look awesome... I haven't seen anyone listen to NOFX for so long, I almost forgot about them!

My parents are from Witney which is about 14 miles from Oxford. I imagine things selling out really fast must be annoying, almost nothing sells out in Reading. I'd say I'm more into hardcore as well but I normally refer to all of those genres under the umbrella term "metal scene" since most small time promoters don't really distinguish between different heavy genres.

I'm at Reading uni so I'm here most of the year. You must have easy access to so many great gigs living in Camden! My parents live near Oxford but the metal scene has gotten really bad recently cuz no-one bothered to go to gigs. It seems like there's quite a good local scene in Reading though.

I'm a big DGD fan. I mentioned because they will be touring the UK soon which they haven't done for ages I don't think. Plus they're playing my home town so I can walk to the venue!

What did you think of the Hevy announcement? I'm pretty excited about Comeback Kid, they played last time I was there and were amazing. Do you like Dance Gavin Dance?

I was annoyed by the delay but I guess this means it's going to be someone really exciting. Hevy always managed to introduce me to great bands I'd never heard of and I'm sure they won't disappoint this year!

I see what you mean about Reading. Hevy definitely had a much better atmosphere and there were some serious arseholes at Reading both years I was there. That being said I think you just have to ignore people like that and focus on the people that are friendly. I'm mostly by myself when the bands are playing anyway so I only tend to interact with people at night. Friday of 2009 I was watching bands non stop from 12.00 til 11.30. That was pretty intense :P but I saw so many great bands that day.

I'm pretty excited for SOAD too and Deftones should be amazing. What annoys you about the crowds? I haven't been since 2009 so I don't know if they've changed much since I was last there.

Yeah I really want to go. I went to 2010 but I haven't been able to find people to go with since. I have friends that would potentially be up for it but they all drag their feet over buying tickets

there's no punk soc? we have to correct this! yeah the same thing happened with me and ffaf. i forgot about them for a couple years when they released those crappy albums and have recently become keen again. i only just clocked your username hahaha. don't apologise for it, it's funny. oh and i will do (y) please ignore my cheesy myspace-esqe profile picture. i always avoid having pictures taken of me when i'm out (i hate having a camera stuck in my face) so i had to take it lol

see that's the smart thing to do, but my school has some policy about not doing exams in january :| physics offers are alright in general. the subject's not very popular (shock, horror) so unis can't really be giving out high ones. thinking about it, i'll probably be in some of your lectures, or at least in your department, cos i'm doing the mathsey course ('theoretical physics'). haha yeah, had the same worry, but turns out there's societies for different music tastes, so you can meet people there who like the same stuff. it occurred to me lately that all my mates who i go to gigs with won't be around next year :( makes me a bit sad really. oh by the way have you heard FFAF's new stuff? they come up with such great riffs.

oh i'll give dillinger a listen. i need to recommend you something, can't be nicking bands from your charts and giving you nothing back. this is a little different, but the guy's voice is great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaCijH0USo8. yeah definitely, will be nice to finally know someone who appreciates great music! how'd your exams go? maths offers are always quite high (i think), so good luck (y)

this is true, i might well get a ticket actually. if they end up doing day tickets then i definitely will (but it's unlikely, apparently they're not doing them this year for some reason). yeah, clearly our friends have no taste. i doubt any of mine have even heard of BR, H2O, comeback kid etc :| haha will have massive respect for you if you do a four day descendents + reading stint

:0 wow! greg graffin is such a god (which is ironic...). was it one of those kerrang reviews where they get people from the show to say what they thought? i've only listened to bits and pieces of letlive's stuff. thanks for the recommendation, i'll spotify them (y) are you gonna see descendents over muse at reading? i was thinking about it, but muse are suppose to be the best live band in the world and they've got some decent songs. noooo don't say that. i really want to go to hevy fest but my mates don't want to (they're more into metal, not punk)

ah i see how it is, bloody mathematicians nicking our departement :p have fun at soni! really wanted to go but am away then. bad religion are gonna be amazing :'( just looked down your 'Events' list thing. omg you have so many good ones coming up! reading should be a laugh this year, the lock up stage is good and there are some great bands on the friday (y) main stage saturday is so poor though; one generic indie band after another (imo at least)
