Have you checked out the Slits? As far as new punk, I just reviewed my buddy's band here in Denver, the Manxx.. It's on the first page of Tome, there's a sample. Really fun trashy punk!

Hey Hen-dog. just saw your shout. Hope you're well man... I couldn't keep up with IYS any more... focusing on the Tome, Foxy D and Reverb now. For 70s-80s punk, Wire is always a safe bet. Gang of Four, Buzzcocks... if you're looking for something on the weirder/experimental side, go with This Heat or the Pop Group.

hmmm yea I'm skeptical to say the least. didn't seem to have enough substance. but as i write this i'm listening to it again and it's redeeming itself already. kind of death from above-ish/songs for the deaf-ish, both of which took me a few listens to notice the beautiful lil fills and trills. thanks for da rec holmes!

I heard the Aeroplane remix of Paris (by the Friendly Fires) and got all excited and hit up Last.fm radio... and got that other Aeroplane... where'd that last shout go that you sent me...? It's gone but I'm not going insane because the notification is still there in my gmail... But yea. Aeroplane. Can you point me to some more of the good stuff? Allmusic.com is giving me nothing on that front. And demonoid is worthless!
