Hey Mahmoud! it's been a long time since I've been on last.fm, although I've scrobbled my music from Spotify over the years. I decided to come by and see what's changed since the last time I've seriously looked around. I stream on Twitch now, so I was wondering if you get on that to watch any streams? Also, hope you've been doing okay with what's been happening for the past two years

Cool, I just added you in my circles too! Sometimes I don't get how the circle things work, but I guess you can add someone but they don't have to add you back and be a part of your circle. I'm still working for Apple, but now I'm hoping I get picked for an interview with an opportunity to work for another department for a year. I still work at home, which is the cool thing about Apple since you can move almost anywhere in the US and bring your job with you. I hope you achieve that dream; I know you're pretty smart so it should be easily achievable. And hey, if you do, you can meet me in real life someday. lol

Not a problem! I know you're busy with work, and now that you're an official pharmacist, congratulations! I'm pretty sure it was stressful having to work your way after a year. You've earned it, and I hope we get to communicate a lot more now that you're done with tests and have your paperwork processed. I didn't know that there was a lot behind becoming a pharmacist. I'm happy for you, and kind of envious too that you have a great-paying job! Pharmacists make a lot of money here in the US. Hope to hear from you soon, and yeah, go ahead and add me on Google+. I don't really do social networks (I don't really consider last.fm a social network, though), but you can see what I'm up to at least.

Well, spaced apart in Houston in terms of where my house was situated in, anyway. I disliked the constricted and isolating atmosphere of Houston with the way people act and feel about someone like me, If they knew what I liked and was interested in. It's so conventional, and it never felt happy being able to enjoy myself. I love California so far, and I plan to visit San Francisco and Apple and Google sometime!

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but more specifically San Leandro. Cupertino (Apple) and Mountain View (Google) are merely 30 minutes away. I love it here already, and I hope it stays that way a year from now. Almost everything I need is within walking distance compared to how isolated and spaced apart that restaurants and shopping are in Houston. California generally has a more accepting culture than what I ever experienced in Houston, or even Texas. There are exceptions like Austin and maybe Dallas. Oh yeah, I've also been watching Outlaw Star and started playing Ni No Kuni again. I also got Beyond: Two Souls and plan on playing it sometime this week! I hear that Beyond wasn't received that well, but I don't really care since I like the types of games David Cage puts out, even though he doesn't consider his works as truly "video games", but more interactive films. Outlaw Star is pretty good; the story starts picking up after the 4th or 5th episode, particularly when Gene and his crew meet Suzuka. If you haven't watched it, I do recommend you do!

I actually beat Resonance of Fate a little more than a month ago! It took me 3 years since it came out for me to beat it since I kept playing it off and on. I really started playing the game in Summer 2012 but then put it off again until August 2013 and spent a few weeks beating the game. I loved the cutscenes and I found the music from Motoi Sakuraba and the atmosphere to be the highlights of the game. I also liked the battle system as well, of course, but there are times when it got too monotonous for me. I really wanted to know more about outside of Basel, but without spoiling too much if you haven't beaten the game yet, the end didn't really delve too much into it. You'll see. But man, the music really, really makes the game. I could listen to the soundtrack all day since it's so beautiful.

I haven't played Rule of Rose in years. Those two games are very, very similar. If you want very, very, very similar, you ought to play Clock Tower 3. Of course, that and Haunting Ground are both made from Capcom, so I can definitely see that they took elements from CT3 and put them in Haunting Ground. CT3 is more goofy than scary, especially the main character's best friend. He's straight, but he acts so gay! Especially when he enters her house from the 2nd story window and lands on her bed... lol If you haven't played, I won't spoil it any further. You won't know what I'm talking about until you get to that part anyway. lol Also, I'm so dumb when I asked you earlier if you've watched Mulholland Dr. The movie is three pictures down!

And just to dispel any doubts, it's funny that a lot of the films/games you have on the right of your page, I also happen to like as well! So, I'm not copying you, we just have eerily similar interests. :-) The only movie that I never heard of but now want to watch, just from seeing your picture wall, is A Single Man.

Hey Mahmoud. What do you think of MGMT's new album so far if you've listened yet? I just bought the album and also The Naked and Famous' new album In Rolling Waves just yesterday. So far I felt MGMT didn't really give me the same memorable and wondrous feelings that I had from Oracular Spectacular. I understand that artists like to try different approaches and directions with their music, but I would love to have that lighter sound they had on their first album. The new album's very contemplative and a bit heavier in tone, which isn't bad, but I'll give it another listen to see if I can really connect with it. Oh yeah, have you ever played Haunting Ground? Just played it and beat it last week! Very interesting game...

I just finished watching the last episode of Twin Peaks a few days ago. Crazy cliffhanger ending. Now I just watched Pleasantville and The Truman Show last night and today, respectively. Now I'm going to watch Mulholland Dr. Have you seen it yet? I hope it's as good as a lot of reviews are saying.

I always go with a guide to play my SMT games, and some other games too, so that I can get everything in the game. I don't have time to look around and explore since I work a lot now. I also have a ton of games that I have not played yet. That being said, I heard SMT IV's neutral route is pretty hard to attain, and when I was reading the GameFAQs boards, a lot of people had to resort to using a guide since you have to be careful on the choices you make since there are very few neutral choices and lots of law and chaos choices you have to make, which end up with you adding or subtracting how many law and how many chaos choices you have to make or leave out to keep yourself in neutral. About California, while the cost of living is high, I may be living with relatives to keep the cost of rent low. I am excited since I love a lot of things about California. I do want to pursue filmmaking or find better positions within Apple, and that's why I'm moving there.

It's more political and bureaucratic with research facilities manipulating neo-mitochondria for bio-terrorism and the military and president coming in to cover up the whole incident...boring. I understand that Square wanted to take the game in another direction, but I really was put off by those grounded-in-reality elements of military and government involvement. I missed the ethereal story elements that Eve symbolized in the first PE. And PEII tried to mix in RE in so many aspects of their game. While some worked liked the settings and gameplay, others did not work like the story, which I've discussed a bit ago, and the monster design, which is very RE with the mutating aspect of the neo-mitochondria due to human manipulation. Didn't like. That's why I was underwhelmed and pretty disappointed with PEII. I did find the game beautiful, but not the text and menu designs! lol

Oh yeah, I agree that Parasite Eve II had a very interesting choice in gameplay, combining survival horror with RPG. I very much enjoyed the battle system and RE-like presentation of the locales (gloomy, quiet and suspenseful). I also agree with the art style to an extent, though. I absolutely hated the way the menus and text looked. So ugly! When a company decides to go with an ugly font for their game, it really tells you what level of detail went into the rest of the game sometimes. Like, here's what I didn't like about PEII. I absolutely thought the story very much sounded like an blatant and attempted cash-in to the series with the whole military involvement and secret research facilities trope that I saw in PEII. I really liked the fantastical science parts of PEI where you find out the origins of Eve and her reasons for destroying humanity. With PEII, it's not fantastical anymore.

BTW, what route do you usually pick or strive to get when playing a SMT game? I always go for neutral, since I hardly ever agree with the way Atlus interprets their idea of Law and Chaos. They construe Law and Chaos as both unsympathetic to humanity, and while I do agree that humans are generally awful, I do hope for the best that they do improve and get a second chance once they experience a near-catastophe, so I choose Neutral. And to be honest, I do look at life in a neutral perspective.

Hey Mahmoud! I'm doing fine. I hope you're doing well! How are things going on your end? I'm making plans to move to California from Texas so that I can find better opportunities for myself. I do own SMT IV, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I'm currently playing Fire Emblem: Awakening (got the $30 credit from buying both this and SMT IV), which has a really good character relationship-building system and the game before that that I beat was EarthBound, which I've waited 10 years to play again on my Wii U since I never beat it last time. Then the game I played before that was Parasite Eve II (underwhelming sequel), and I am currently watching Twin Peaks. I know you're a huge Twin Peaks fan, so I haven't gotten around to watching this show until recently. I've owned the definitive gold box collection for a while so I am going through each episode and I'm currently on Season 2 after we find out who Laura's killer is and when I find out more about the Black/White Lodge.

Hahaha Mogwai is intense! Sometimes, I get trance just by listening to them, it feels like I am in the center of a colossal space and watching episodes of life in timelapse hahaha. And I just heard about your showing obsession to Yo La Tengo from your profile. Awesome band I must say.

Hey Mahmoud. You ought to take a look at Frances Ha. Just saw it, and loved it. It reminds me a lot of Ghost World. I would also add The Place Beyond the Pines, too. And, loving your recent listens to Fleet Foxes. I love Ragged Wood the most. It sounds great in a film I would love to make. I also like Helplessness Blues, the song, too.
