Your charts never fail to bring me joy. You just seem to be such a fan of music.

When I moved away after high school my friends and I used Last.fm to feel like we were still driving around or in each other's rooms listening to music.

Hello! Been meaning to shout! I've never seen anybody else scrobbling The Tomato Collection by Nina Simone. Mad props for that and just about everything else on your charts.

Yup. Everything I've seen on Tomato is so bizarre and vintage like its own musical universe. I sure didn't know much about Nina when I found that CD in a Chicago flea market years ago but I'm so glad I bought it because "The Thrill is Gone" is so damn beautiful. We'll have to keep dreaming for a vinyl release someday.

It's been supremely satisfying having the CD back in the boombox filling up the house with that Nina atmosphere. The Assignment Song is extremely loopable.

Your compatibility with sarajill is Low. You both listen to Leonard Cohen, Dinosaur Jr. and Willow.

Saw Parquet Courts in Providence a few weeks ago. Talked to them after the show and bought their cd off of them. Really nice guys. Check out the photo album I took on my Facebook page, when you get the chance.

Thanks for the tip; active or not, an NYRB Classics group on last.fm just seems like something I should be a part of...

ewwww. guess we like falsetto, whiny songs with no story from wispy poets! no wonder so many people hate on him; he sounds like a perfect fit for his new News Corp gig.

: ) yeah, I guess it was love at first listen when I heard Buriedfed and as I got the whole album 3 months ago there was hardly a day I didn't listening to it. Do you know the songs from his daytrotter session? http://www.daytrotter.com/article/1364/miles-benjamin-anthony-robinson and here's another session http://www.laundromatinee.com/sessions/video_session__miles_benjamin_anthony_robinson with some great songs.
