I don't think we are developing some kind of an own style or inventing some new sound aesthetic, but at least I think our mixture can be called 'original', maybe...

That's the cleverest statement I've heard about this topic in a while. We (post-rock musicians in general) should get back to the feeling when nobody knew how post-rock sounded. The times of Slint, Tortoise, Bark Psychosis or Manta Ray, when post-rock was a new wave of experimentation. That's what we try to make in Archaeopteryx. I hate when I search for a post-rock band and I find just another 'explosionsinthesky-influenced' band.

By the way, you think post-rock is obsolete? It has been almost all the same for the past years, it needs to evolve again.

Oh, and I didn't had skills at all at drawing, just practised it for half a year and made up strangely charming landscapes and cities. That was the great feeling of creating your own space, even if it was bidimensional. ^^

I know what you mean, I hate to act that way. Once I had a dream when I met Jimi Hendrix and everything was quite relaxing, dude, I didn't need to think there was motherfuckin' Jimi Hendrix. He was just like some kind of an old friend I hadn't seen in a very long while, and that feeling was PERFECT. It doesn't matter at all WHO you are, what matters is the feeling you give to your people. My apologies for treating you like a Hollywood star. Yep, I know it's awkward. I also have a band, you know... xDDDD

Seems legit, actually. I used to be many people in the past but know I only take photos and grab the guitar sometimes. Goodbye to painting, farewell to poetry... Glad to met you, mr. Koniwzski. If someone told me a week ago that you listened to Archaeopteryx I woulnd't believe. What a coincidence! Greetings ^^

Oh, you listened to [artist]Baltic Fleet[/artist] too? What do you think? It seemed to me a very nice mixture of kraut and post-rock patterns, I have to check out more but my first impression is really really good. By the way, are you related to Nickholas Koniwzski from Aesthesys? That's an awesomely talented guy!

And by the way, thanks for your friend request, you've got a really interesting library here. I think I'll start with Toby Driver.

О, Ник, привет! Кричал на Астрале, что офигенно на скрипке играешь. :3 не слушал пока твой основной проект, только Курс Кая, но Аестесисы понравились на Астрале, только скрипочка плохо слышна была.

No, I agree. BLD is perhaps my second favourite Kayo Dot album (first is CofE), even if it did take a long while to recognise its ingenuity.

Tis' interesting how BLD is rated top on your list. It seems to be underrated even by Kayo Dot fans.
