I'm pretty surprised we're musical neighbors. But it's nice to see Interpol on your profile. =)

Hello, it seems that you found lastfm incredibly interesting or you gather some research intel, but in my humble opinion, this social network is close to it's end, coz it's not evolving at all for past four years, so its miracle, that you've got bunch answers below. I even forgot, that my spotify connected to lasfm. Back to your questions: I always had wide selection of artists in my playlists, but the most noticeable change in mah music flow is change from rock music to electronic, and most incredible artist that was found in electronic lake is Nicolas Jaar. I still can't find something like him. Greetings from UA

Haha I see I'm not the only one to see your post on my profile from January only just now, though sorry about that! =/ Hope you're well. As for my musical exploration - it happens in stops and starts, and rather spontaneously, but I don't mind that :D How about yours? Take care :)

Hey, greetings from Germany. Nice to meet you too! I have to admit that I stumbled upon your message by accident. I hardly visit Last.fm anymore these days, but it has been a long journey indeed. Your question made me think. I continue to scrobble but over the years preferences changed obviously, Bands came and go, so much music I never listened toagain, some I rediscovered, if just for the sake of nostalgia, to remember who I once was. I'd say at the beginning I was a metalhead, focused on the heavy side of music, lately I became a little bit softer, and of course the musical horizon widened. The older I got, the more I learnt to appreciate music of past eras, especially from the Seventies, which remains for me a magical decade for creative music. I'm into all kinds of genres now, as long as it pleases my more sensible ears. As I can see, I'm not alone here in this regard. I find new bands often in good ol' Youtube, just like in the old days and also Spotify revealed me some gems.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTvJUa6Vg78 That's what I listen to now. Some beautiful piano sounds to find in there. Maybe you'll appreciate it too, since you listen to Ludovico Einaudi. I love his music also so much that I play it on the piano for myself from time to time. ;)

hi! only 2 months later, here is my random reply to your random comment ;) just like others, i too hardly visit last.fm. I just scrobble my music. My musical voyage evolved backwards, by that i mean that i listen to much less music, i don't have time anymore to discover new stuff, so i basically listen to stations or the music i collected earlier. My previous profile was created in 2006 so yeah i'm a mammoth on last.fm. anyway, happy listening!

Hi, sorry for late reply, i hardly ever visit last.fm anymore. My answer to your question: Tv shows like O.t.h, the o.c, grey's anatomy shaped my music taste. This website haf a radio back in the day, that and recommendations helped me find a lot of songs. Nowadays I use spotify. Thank you for your kind message and nice to meet you too!

Hey there! Nice to meet you too! You seem to have an awesome taste of music. You asked me how I evolved my musical taste... Well I started over with pretty much every Metal genre that is out there but over the years I extended my taste a LOT, and I'm now in between every musical genre as long as I can enjoy and feel the sound :) Happy listening!

Hey, sorry for the late response To answer this question: "I see you use lastfm for 9 months... how did your musical listening habbit progress over this time?" I became a lot more focused on discovering new music last year. I don't have too many plays on my favorite albums/artist because of that. I usually move from new albums rather quickly too; only replaying albums I really love on first listen. I've been busy so I haven't been listening to as much music, but I still keep up as much as I can currently. Thanks for the shout, and all the best to you.

Sorry for the late reply! Where in Europe are you from? I have visited several countries including Sweden and Denmark last year. My "musical journey" began when I was young and my dad sang Beatles songs to me as a baby! Since then I have loved music and learned to play guitar. It is my goal to listen to every kind of music that I can find. Thanks for your kind comment, greetings from Boston Massachusetts!

Hallo. Oh, in der Tat schon 12 Jahre. Mit 21 registriert, mit 33 immer noch hier. Früher gab's hier mehr zu entdecken, sogar werbefreies Radio im Scrobbler. Lang her...

Hey! I think my musical taste grew (or at least changed ;-)) quite a while in these last twelve years. I don't think last.fm played a big role on it most of the time, however - and unfortunately. I did use last.fm a lot to learn about new music and try new things -- heck, now that I think of it, it was thanks to last.fm that I found about "The 20th", a project that ended up shaping a lot of what I do as a musician! -- but that was during the brief period where last.fm was a place to listen to music, for free... once that was over, I mostly, on and off, used other sources of music and tried to keep scrobbling here ( https://www.last.fm/user/Mind_Booster/listening-report/year will show you how I didn't scrobble between October 2017 and May 2018, for instance, since the plugin I used for scrobbling stopped working, and I only found the one I currently use after those months...), but I have relied on other sources to get to know about new music...

Hey, thanks for the thoughtful comment. I've actually been using the site since 2006 (former account was username Thrasymachus) It's a bummer to me that last.fm feels like a much-diminished shell of its former self, but it remains an extremely useful tool and I'm glad there's still a core user base hanging on with their fingernails, and those few-and-far-between comments and messages from people like yourself. I still get good music recommendations regularly; I just haven't been especially interested in music lately.

Merry Christmas to you too, neighbor! :) Yeah, I've been in last.fm for many, many years now. About my "musical voyage", well, I had a period where I hated any sort of vocals in music, but now I really like hip hop and some pop music. Another way of putting it is that I guess I was a purist once, but now I'm more open to more music! Always, always learning about something, in a way. How about you?

All the songs and artists on my last.FM profile are a representation of my real private music collection. My profile expands with every new album, which I will scrobble here. I especially like listening to Gothic and Darkwave music and songs in Swedish (and of course Christmas music right now). I wish you a nice second Advent.

Neighbours? I wonder how that works as we don't appear to have that much music in common.. (Although i am a big fan of Ludovico Einaudi.) Nevertheless, greetings from England and thanks for saying hi! And yes I am just short of 10 years and have this site to thank for many musical recommendations along the way (including Einaudi, and Allevi after that as well!) Prior to using the site I would never have listened to classical music, so I suppose my journey has developed in such a way that has broadened my musical tastes somewhat! All the best, Lee

Hi, thanks for your message! Yeah i started my Last.fm profile when i was still a teenager. Fun to look back on how tastes developed. I used to be almost exclusively into metal, but a lot of different stuff grabbed my attention later on. How about yours? We do seem to have a somewhat similar taste in music, is there anything you can recommend me? Greetings from the Netherlands!
