Hello! You listen to some great bands, some of my favourites. I really like Unquiet Nights, if you don't know them I give a free sampler where you can get their songs from free. I really hope you like my suggestion :) take care Amy (https://essentialcredential.bandcamp.com/album/21st-century-redemption-songs-album-sampler-2)

Ahhhhh, I finally got around to making a little Japanese music guide. Only took me 3 months :). Check it out: http://forums.metacritic.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5280057243/m/59110273

Thanks for watching my videos, I thought they captured my experience pretty well haha Something you need to do in your life would definitely be going to their show. I'm sure they'll be over there soon, otherwise they'd be missing out. I did a volunteer project in the Blue Mountains near Sydney and then I traveled up and down the east coast, so no Adelaide or Melbourne. Our adventure tour included Cairns, Fraiser Island, Byron Bay, Airlie Beach and Sydney. It was amazing- I sky dived, snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, repelled and white water rafted. So much fun over there haha

haha thanks, it was pretty wild being in that audience. I felt like I was going to pass out and I saw at least three people light up around me. It was still so fun though. How come we're not friends on here?! We have a lot of friends in common..

it would be, but i've already got "you eat 5 acids a day!" on there. maybe I could just make a compilation of all the best one-liners he's said - the one up on the wall already is simply the 3 funniest lines from a PM he sent me..

Yo, just to let you know I'm not ignoring you or anything. ;) I think what I'm going to do is make a thread on MC with some of my recommendations for Japanese music and then maybe some other people could contribute something...I've only been getting into it for the last 6 months or so and there's so much more great shit than I ever expected. I'll let you know when I write it.

No, actually WhoMadeCookies invented it, but I popularized it I guess? Or at least I brought it to the Animal Collective shoutbox.

Awesome Man, thanks for reminding me that I love Built to Spill. If you like "Car", you should check out the album called 'There's Nothing Wrong With Love'. There are a lot of amazing quirky rock tracks on that album. "Reasons", "Big Dipper", "Cleo", "Distopian Dream Girl". From there I would step into 'Keep It Like A Secret', which is still very poppy, but has a harder edge to it. But if you want classic in a form not so similar to "Car" look to the album 'Perfect From Now On', where they lay into 8 songs that are at least 6 minutes long each. It's a great album with some seriously fine tuned rock with a more epic focus. They still have great lyrics and millions of hooks, but it's a lot broader. Their more recent albums have been a little weaker in my opinion, but they still have some really great tracks on them that stand strong along side the best things they have done, so they are worth checking out.

lol yes he's difficult, I haven't checked everything from him yet but you should get the first two albums, self titled and freewheelin, those are essential folk albums, and maybe north country blues, that's right before the electric era

It wasn't that great the first couple times, but then it really grew on me. This new Animal Collective album is going to kick my ass.

I'm that PQ :) Judging by some of the stuff floating around youtube, the new AC will be extraordinary. You have no idea the restraint you're showing by not watching those clips...... compulsively......

I really love both artwork tremendously... but opening up the CD, I'd go with Strawberry Jam. The CD's so glossy and wonderful. I actually prefer The Milk-Eyed Mender's artwork, which is probably my second or third favourite artwork.

Yeah, The new Wolf Parade is pretty sweet. It's sitting at the top of my "Best of the Year" list right now. I think it's really a flawless piece of work. I wish it were maybe three or four songs longer though. Maybe just short rock interludes or jams between songs. I think that would make it classic.
