Thanks for following back! I just saw 'Reading, Writing and Arithmetic' and I was like: 'Yup, that's a follow!' It's such a forgotten gem. I haven't listened to it in a few years but it kept me company on a lot of walks in 2017. I will have to listen again... Weird thing from just before I posted this comment: I was hovering over playing''I Wanna Be Adored' - after listening to Elephant Stone earlier - and, yeah, it seems you just played it. I'll take that as approval from the universe for the follow! :)

hey! no problem!! god, that album is so great. the sundays are a fantastic group. i’ve been listening to them HEAPS recently... probably too much!! and yes, you should definitely give it a re-listen! plus, it seems like a good winter walking album, if that makes sense. do you have a favourite song by them? i don’t think i’d be able to choose just one. and by the way, what a coincidence!!! stone roses are an excellent band, but not sure about ian brown’s current views on covid.... yikes! hope you’re doing well during these absurd times, keep in touch!

Yeah, they seem to have received a lot more attention thanks to Spotify in recent years and I'm hoping this will awaken them to releasing the music they've apparently been working on for years. I mean, it's more likely than Cocteau Twins getting back together so one can hope. Yeah, makes total sense! I'd say Skin & Bones or I Kicked a Boy but that whole album in particular is a treasure. If last.fm had existed a few years earlier, and actually had a way of being tracked in a car, I think Stone Roses would have got 100s of extra scrobbles! Don't listen to them as much now - just the odd track. Yeah, not great re: Ian Brown. I've no problem with people asking questions about events that go on around us in the world, but very much not for making bold statements with no evidence! Loved 'FEAR' but, yeah, he's always been a bit of a d*ck, tbh! Oh, and any recommendations on anything (as in ANYTHING) at all? Take care too! :)

sorry it’s taken me so long to reply!! imagine a cocteau twins reunion.... wouldn’t that be a dream! but i am praying that the sundays release their more recent works. all their fans would love to hear it!!! it’s been so long! good picks - i kicked a boy is probably my favourite song as well. and i’m in the same situation!! if i had gotten lastfm earlier i’d have a gazillion more stone roses scrobbles & also heaps more queen ones. my queen phase was pretty intense. i completely agree w/ you in regards to ian btw: sure, opinions and all, but he’s just spreading nonsense!!! FEAR, the song? such a tune! love your taste. hmmm, recommendations.... have you listened to the clean? awesome group. most of the indie new zealand groups are absolutely excellent. art brut are a great group too, but you might already know of them. anything you can recommend?? as i said, you’ve got superb taste. stay safe!!

Hey, np! Take your time - it's no-one else's! Yeah, you could pick anything from that album and I'd agree, hah! Aye, FEAR - surprisingly novel concept for a song. I've heard of The Clean but never listened, & Art Brut is ringing a bell but don't think have heard. Shall check them out & get back to u! You Am I are a good band from that part of the world, too (love 'Berlin Chair' & the non-US vid w/ sparkly suit dancing man is one of my favs)! Recommendations... Thinking of stuff local to me... Big Country are a great Scottish band (The Crossing is a fantastic album) & Idlewild (The Remote Part being their big one). Started listening to John Martyn again the other day too - amazingly emotional acoustic player who was Nick Drake's friend & contemporary. He pretty much kickstarted Triphop with his late 70s/early 80s stuff. Def worth a listen but he was also a bit of an arse too with controversy/history which makes it hard to recommend him today but nevertheless important. Ty, and you too!

Congrats on reaching the "26k scrobbles" milestone :-) and soon you will also get the "200 artists scrobbled" milestone! Nice! Any idea which 7 new artists you wanna play? or will it be random? ... How is life on your side of the planet ? Stay safe in these pandemic times

sorry it’s taken me so long to see this! i have no idea what artists i’ll listen to to get to 200 artists scrobbled - i usually just go through playlists on spotify to try and find new music to listen to so i guess it’ll depend on what playlists i’ll listen to in coming days. not much going on here at the moment, with the pandemic and all. my country is handling it pretty well, we don’t have that many cases or deaths, which is very good! you stay safe as well, it’s crazy out there! :)
