Hope you're okay Twajjo, I randomly came across your account under a Chick Webb shout and liked your Robot Chicken profile picture. You have a nice taste in Jazz by the way. Though, I saw you hadn't scrobbled in over 4 years, and scrolled down to see your blog linked and that you were dealing cancer. Reading the last blog post made me quite emotional. Your personality beams out of each paragraph. I hope you beat cancer's ass.

I'm going to be running a top 50 countdown starting next Saturday, July 29, 2017. At that time, I will play a retrospective countdown of my top 50 Artists AND top 50 Albums of all time. I will have roughly 50 days remaining in my chemotherapy treatment cycles for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and I'd like to share the music I'm listening to as "new". I have a blog (http://www.geekware.com) that I hope to post a description of my whole ordeal by tomorrow (I swear I will). Cheers, my friends.

Weird. The John Williams I listen to is John Christopher Williams, not John Williams of film score fame (Star Wars). Not much of a JW film score fan-- it's not that I don't like film scores, but he has stolen SO MUCH from classical and modernist composers. Listen to Star Wars and then check out Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Tons of SW was ripped off from Igor Stravinsky.

There are really three Fleetwood Macs: Peter Green (hard blues) version Danny Kirwan/Bob Welsh/Christine McVie version Post-Goat Woman version (Stevie Nicks/Lindsey Buckingham) Of course, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie have always been there, but there are three distinct flavors of FM. I prefer versions 1 and 2, and why I give them so much air play.
