Question....the Jim Marcus songs you scrobbled: Bleeding Out, Radio, Interiors, Butterfly Wings, and Wonderland performance, were those rips from reverbnation/myspace or were those available from a different source?

I really dug Erika Anderson's solo as EMA this year (maybe my favorite) and through that got really interested in the Gowns. It's dark Midwestern folk which seems to be more truthful rather than an appropriation done by recent residents of Brooklyn. Getting a Latitude session on Southern sold me on her stuff. I've also gotten into the Hype Williams stuff. "The Throning" as a bedroom dub/cover of "The Sweetest Taboo"? How can we not like this sort of thing?

How many times are we going to exchange profile views silently? I'll break the silence and say hello :] (and it needs not saying you have excellent taste)

NP, it's not what I expected but I'm enjoying it. I've been listening to too much of the same shit lately. I need to mix it up.

Yo, you got this already? Stones Throw Podcast 54 by Nite Jewel Mixtape: http://www.mediafire.com/?j0iawbiy2r0xi5d // It's freely available btw. I just had to jump through a couple hoops to hook it up.

Check out Bon Iver's first album "For Emma, Forever Ago". It might take a little while to get into it, but it's sooooo worth it. The dude in it (Justing Vernon) has several side projects like Gayngs and Volcano Choir... and Kanye West. :) As for Okkerville River, I honestly don't know too much of their stuff. I do really like their song "our life is not a movie or maybe" though...

Thanks for the heads up on Iroha. There's so much cool stuff coming out now it's hard to keep up. I can't remember if you're a Mu fan or not (the band of Maurice Fulton's wife) but her new disc is out digitally (physical later this year) as Mutsumi. Hilarious Japanese house absurdism. Also the Scientist v. Dubstep comp is pretty good too.

Slick. Yeah, I'm a big fan of the larger family of Justin's circle of musicians so I'll definitely check it out. The key project of his circle I wished would have gotten a full length: the Line project by Diarmund Dalton (http://www.last.fm/music/Line/_/Hollow). They only did one song on the Lo Fibre comp but it's this shoegaze gem with a beautiful female vocal. A real shame nothing more came of it :(
