Haha yeah. Definitely has been leaning more towards that in the past few years. Used to be more into grind, but got more into the hardcore/crust side of things.

i've had chokebore for sometime, but it wasn't until recently that i was hooked. that album motionless is probably the angriest/grungiest album they have. you should really check out a taste for bitters and black black. much slower, more depressing, and the lyrics are better. if you like codeine you'll like those albums. it sort of just puts me in a gray area where i embrace the beautiful melancholy. no matter what mood i'm in i always feel better when i listen to them. i think using media monkey with the lyrics plugin script may have helped. i previously used winamp with that same plugin, but with MM you can see everything in one view and move everything around to your liking. with the use of scripts, you can reorganize your files, fix your tags, and delete anything you don't want very easily. this is how i've got mine setup right now. i've been blasting that shit in my car all week haha. i need more bands like War! noice, i see you've been listening to a bit of screamo. I started with spooky when listening to lush, and gala is a good compilation. when i was listening to a lot of shoegaze i was trying to find albums that were purely shoegaze. Not a huge fan of britpop or dream pop. I can't really take those newer albums very seriously. Spooky reminds me a bit too much of coctau twins at times tho, but there's a reason for that.

don't be so hard on yourself, the frequency blog is great and it's good to see bands like Nokturnal Mortem included in your reviews. What's your take on Arckanum or even something like Black Seas of Infinity?

Black tambourine! My favorite Pam Berry band. Loving the blog too. I actually started listening to Loop and The Telescopes not to long ago. I also enjoy all those bands you mentioned on that last HHIG post so i'd dig anything like that. All these people i know making blogs is inspiring me to create one myself.
