Ite en metallia enää hirveästi kuuntele. Musiikkimaku laajentunu aika paljon eikä metallia hirveästi jaksa. Tarkoittaako rajoittunut kuitenkin sun kohdalla ettet kuuntele ollenkaan? :) Black Marblea, Les Discretsia ja Viet Congia et Last.fm:n mukaan tiedä.

I just a questioning music fan, who likes to think sometimes about what he listen... Anyway: I never liked the music of techno-culture. For me, it has something very strange. But the first time I had problems to understand music was 1970 with "Ain't It Funky Now" by James Brown. I was 16 then. That was a piece without harmonies. I thought that was incredible. Although I had already listened to music that was not based on harmony, progressive rock with long improvisation points where there was no longer a chord scheme and no more cadences, but that was still recognizable as individual articulation. "Ain't It Funky Now " was just funky. And that was in the charts.

Goat is pretty cool yeah live. This reminds me of a show by another band, actually from Finland, they're called Circle. Don't know if you heard of them but they put on a great show as well. Another Finnish band that I've been dying to see for years is Alamaailman Vasarat, they're playing here in a few weeks but I can't make it.

I could come up with a bunch of complaints but overall I think it's pretty good.. we get good bands, and plenty too, but our crowds are an eyesore (will always talk through the support acts or even main acts and will sush you when you want to sing along), and it still takes a single on national radio to sell out a show. The War On Drugs never sold out here until they had Red Eyes on every day. But I guess it's "hipster" to complain about your favorite band getting national airtime on the radio.. And in Finland?

You're right about the line-up, it was crazy. My highlights were Caetano Veloso, Bo Ningen, Slowdive.. nothing actually really disappointed.. except for the stages in the back, the big ones.. I'm not necessarily freaked out about crowds but when I was waiting for Arcade Fire it was just wild, couldn't breathe almost, and went to the Vice stage for Bo Ningen, who happened to be outrageously good. I think that's the beauty of the festival, line-up wise, you can't really go wrong. The Ex are only known within the scene over here, they appear on national tv every few years but vanish after then. I might see them next week in Amsterdam. Joose Keskitalo should play Primavera! ;)

Really cool that you enjoyed The Ex at PS, it's still hard to believe for me those guys had time at one of the main stages.. nobody really knows them over here. What else did you like?

I guess we get fed a lot of poutine and eat everything with maple syrup. You should really check out ô Paon, she's a french canadian doing gloomy music, and her music is absolutly astonishing and sad. I think it could make you used to our accent, and since you like Grouper you'll probably be blown away by her too.

Your french is actually really good (if you didn't use google translate but I trust you)! For some reason French people can't understand our french canadian language but we can understand them perfectly ;_; Our french is much cooler though. I've never been to Paris but I've heard that it's a pretty cool city

Would you say that music is a big part of Finnish culture? Just an observation.. the finnish people I've met seem to have a wide variety of music they listen to
