I don't remember exactly, but probably found your page from some comment you made on a song years and years ago

Hey, thanks for commenting. I have made a couple friends from my time on Last.fm that I have talked to for years. I talk to them outside of Last.fm and I think having friendships branch off like that is awesome. I actually can't even remember how we became close friends in the first place, but it always has to start with music first :) Music has always been there for me to help out with my social anxiety. I always loved having at least one thing in common with someone else, in the hopes of possibly branching off onto something else. Erkan was/is a cool guy. I loved having comments to look forward to and I agree that Last.fm was better before. :'(

Yeah, it's crazy everywhere (some islands even make money off of this by claiming they are Corona free to attract new citizens/people). It's time that the vaccine "arrives", not only in Russia (where we have yet to see the side effects ;-) ). What will you be playing music-wise today? Thanksgiving related topics? (btw: Have a relaxing and happy Thanksgiving with your family :-)) Today came out my fresh, weekly "mix of the week" on spotify, I'll listen to that. It will likely be classical and Asian music

Nice, you've achieved this ">10.4k artists listened to" milestone ! ... I saw us both in the "Scrobble Leaderboard" section (Oct. 2-8): last DOT fm/user/burton449ryo/listening-report/week ... How are you doing on your side of the Earth currently? I guess you too avoid public crowds lately in these pandemic times, as we also here in the German side of the EU ... Stay safe (and let's wash hands regularly) - and enjoy the songs and further hobbies on this amazing Sunday, Susan

Thank you for your well wishes! Hope you're doing well too in these awful times with little to no live music. The new Deftones album is really neat imho. Other than that the latest release by Protomartyr, Fontaines DC and Washed Out. If ya check my most played albums from the last 180 days it gives you a p gewd view. (I listen to albums 90% of the time.) Got anything you really liked? Lotsa Billy Eilish I see....

hah-yes! I have played concert piano (reading music) my whole life and I am trying to do better at learning by ear... so there are a few songs that I have played to death whilst trying to figure it out on the keys ;) That's one good thing about Covid, I am back to playing lots of piano again. I spent last weekend listening to music from Africa, mainly Nigerian artists and really enjoyed Reekado Banks. Yasumu is new to me (on the lo-fi beats side). It's pretty dreamy!

Nice! I'm going to check that out! Checking out foreign/non-western music can be a real trip some times. I recently checked out Nass el Ghiwane, chanting music from Morocco. Worth a listen :)

Mainly Christmas songs... Hehe... To be fair I am rediscovering my love for tape and vinyl and spend quite a lot of time on that... I like last.fm the design seems beautiful, although it's so incomplete it makes you want to cry... Development is so slow, that I think I could have learnt coding and do it myself in less time... How are you these days?

cassette tapes...! I should send you mine from my childhood :) I have a cassette player but of course, it's in a box. My music room has my instruments in it...and a record player :) I don't blame you for searching for new ways to listen to music; this site has gone through such a horrible re-birth I'm not sure I will ever subscribe again...and I did for 7yrs. It really makes me sad :( I am doing alright! Work is super busy / lots of concerts recently....and Christmas is just around the corner :) Remind me...where do you live? I'm in SW Ontario and winter has finally arrived this week. We've enjoyed the mildest Autumn in history but we now have a true Canadian winter ahead.

Hola amiga! Thank's for the shout. I'm well, more or less. Well, more more than less. ;-) But I have to say, I was going wrong. On the one hand the site becomes more and more usefull. But someone essential features on Last.fm seems not to come back and the support site is censored by the Customer chief. Okay, they call it "keeping the forum clean". After all we've been told, to wait ... Blablabla - After all, some people, especially from Canada, were banned (including their LFM-Accounts) because of critical comments. Unbelieveable. I wasn't, because it's more difficult to close a payed account. Here an example for my frustrating experience with the staff: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/unlimited-about-me-section?topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Bfilter_by%5D=all&topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Breply_id%5D=19112910#reply_19112910

To be honest I have never listened very much to Brian Eno! Not by choice, I just never got around to it. I will certainly have to though!

Yeah Netherlands can get pretty humid too with all the water around. At least it also gives the opportunity to get nice cool down by taking a swim :) Going to be at a pretty neat festival most of the week, it's free and the line-up is pretty neat. Looking forward mostly to The Budosband, Protomartyr, Intervals, Animals as Leaders, Che Sudaka, Donnerwetter (Dutch band check em out!) and Black Bottle Riot. There are looaaaaads more though, some experimental some obscure etc. btw What the hell is that Tea Party event you went too? haha Also pretty jelly you will be able to see Prophets of Rage :P You should try to see Swans before they quit though they are already a few weeks into their US tour.

Hi Suzan! I'm sorry, that you're dissapointed. And I understand, that your angry about this beta desaster. I'm too. But I think, that we can see a change in the direction of development of last.fm. Neighbours are back, groups and tags will come back also. (I'm sure) Maybe not we (as someone on getsatisfaction postulated), but the last.fm staff were sold down the river by CBSI. I will not forget how it was, to feel betrayed with the start of beta last.fm. I think, the debate on getsadinfection will help to get back largly the old last.fm. Visit me on the support sites, (https://getsatisfaction.com/people/andreas_wotte) and take part in the discussion of the website development. Thank you for your criticism, Andreas

Subscriber options have returned... and for $3 a month, you get no ads (Ad-Block removes them for free so no value there); Early access to 'new features'. What kind of BS is this? Very little has been done to improve this site since the new relaunch...so again, no value there. A discount on cheaply made overpriced crap in the last.fm store. Yippee! (sarcasm) and finally, a black badge to show you are a Subscriber. oooooh - how special. What about Subscriber-only radio (like we used to have)? What about knowing who the last 6 folks were to visit your site (like we used to have)? Straight from the horse's mouth in 2014: Last.fm subscribers are some of the most dedicated music fans out there and we are deeply grateful for your support over the years. We understand that many of you will not like this decision. You are right. We didn't like your decisions in 2014...and we still don't like them now.

More or less. Keeping myself occupied with a media production course. On the lookout for another job. I don't really come here other to see if they've fixed this bug which has lost about 1 month full of scrobbles. I wouldn't be surprised if Last.fm ends up going to the wall.

Hee hello there! A storm is brewing here, howling gusts of wind that make the trees dance. I'm in the process of becoming a Product Design student, almost there just need to work on my dummy/process logging which is always a thing for me because I can be quite lost in my thoughts some times ;) Anyway this year is going to be exciting, don't have any gigs real soon but I am looking forward to seeing Swans perform their last tour and release an album to close the era of the current line-up. Gira will still solo tour as well but I highly recommend that you get some tickets to see them as soon as the dates for their tour are known. Seeing Swans live is an absolutely transformative experience!
