“When I Lie” is a track from Lil Peep’s GOTH ANGEL SINNER extended play – a posthumous release, produced by fellow GothBoiClique member Fish Narc.
On October 30th, 2018, the full GOTH ANGEL SINNER EP was leaked on reddit in studio quality. At the time, this song was presumed to be named “Needle”.
Before his passing, Peep performed this track during several shows on the Come Over When You’re Sober tour.
On April 16, 2019, Lil Peep’s mother announced that a remix of “When I Lie” featuring artist Ty Dolla $ign, will be released for the For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones) soundtrack, released by Columbia Records.
On October 30, 2019, “When I Lie” was officially released on Lil Peep’s YouTube channel. A music video was released after the official audio.
