“Ready, Able“ is the seventh track from Grizzly Bear's third studio album “Veckatimest“.
"It’s like taking a stab at a relationship, a false sense of “we will be all right.” Then you make a bad decision with a kiss, and you’re out in the wilderness, doing naughty things, and getting bit — or frostbit — because of what you’ve done. And then you’re covering up your tracks so that no one sees."

The outro suggests transparency and intimacy shared with a lover. “They go, we go” may imply that those of our past (past lovers, past friends) live their lives independently. What has happened has happened (in this case a tryst), and they move on regardless of the experiences of the past. However, though these people operate independently, past experiences help to craft the person as they are. “I want you to know, what I did, I did” suggests that the narrator wants their lover to know the realities behind what happened and that they accept responsibility for the action. Though they love their partner, they did what they did, and it wasn’t an accident.
