Only started listening to heidi. last year and man I wish I listened to them sooner. I loved カリメロ, Nao and Kohsuke's previous band, and heidi. is like... an improved version of カリメロ. I love it.

Which is actually really damn good. Also, the quality is quite a lot better over that tinny shit they had last album.

The new single is a feel-good song similar to the last album. I like it a lot, though.

Nice! Hope they've got a few new ideas this time, without leaving their sound behind.

Maybe they just prefer playing in small venues? I don't know, but as someone who goes to plenty of concerts there's no doubt what I prefer. A small venue with 50-100 is so many, many, many fucking times better than a huge venue with 5000++.

It's just that from the gigs I've seen, they play in very small places. Not that this is always and indication of their popularity, but still.

Is it me or they're not popular in Japan at all, especially considering they've gone major a while ago?

Listening to Sixth Sense for the first time now, and this sounds neat. Sounds like their best release since Innocence. Fine stuff!

Depends. Whenever I listen to heidi. I tend to listen to either the first EP or the two first albums. I rarely listen to the two last albums, simply because it's more of the same, but far from as good at the older stuff. The quality is dropping. Doing the same for 4+ albums is extremely hard, and there's not many bands/artists that can do that. So I would prefer them progressing a little and draw new elements into their music ti make it more exciting again. And I am not talking about leaving their current style behind, just adding something more to it.

Don't take me wrong. I like everything Heidi. has done up until now. But they haven't changed their sound a bit since the begining. They're going with the same formula for every album. The only difference between old and new heidi. is the quality. While the two first albums felt fresh and nice, the stuff after haven't felt fresh at all, because they've made the same music for a while now. But everything's either amazing or very good.

So, what's old and new heidi.? They've done the same thing ever since the debut album. [2] Yep, they've been doing the same over and over.
