The British singer-songwriter Harry Styles rose to fame as one of the five members of boy band One Direction. He launched his solo career in 2016 with his self-titled debut studio album. He is now a global superstar in his own right.
Styles released debut studio album topped the charts in fourteen countries and ranked in several music critics' year-end lists. The album's single, "Sign of the Times", topped the UK Singles Chart, peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was named "Song of the Year" by Rolling Stone, while its music video earned Styles a Brit Award. Styles' musical style on his debut solo album was described as having an "intimately emotional Seventies soft-rock vibe" by Rolling Stone writer Rob Sheffield. His second studio album, Fine Line (2019), debuted atop the US Billboard 200.
