Officially kicking off the summer festival season WAYF are proud to present the may day Bank Holiday leg of its epic multi-venue festival The Block Party. Get set to join 2,500 party people reclaiming the streets for the most exciting event of the season and WAYF's biggest party yet.

For one early summer night Lansdowne is transformed into a playground of music, interactive shenanigans, beats and good times. All spread across six venues expect a marathon 12 hour spectacular of over fifty of the best cutting edge DJs & live acts, big surprises, after parties and festival fun.

Tickets are exchanged on the night for a Block Party wristband giving access to all six venues, each hosting an eclectic selection of acts & hosts from electro to dubstep, indie to D&B, house to hip-hop and everything in between. Expect a host of other party antics to get stuck into including the legendary tiny silent disco, pop-up parties, crafts & stalls and graffiti walls.

★ NERO
Quite simply the hottest arrival in dance music this year we present Nero. The much hyped production / DJ duo have torn up airwaves with their instant hit Me & You and their back catalogue of original material and remixes for the likes of The Streets, Justice & Deadmau5 have become bass heavy anthems. Expect a noisy 90 minute set of the best crossover D&B and dubstep madness – this is set to go off!

The legendary D&B hero Zinc has been busy redefining himself through his own invented genre “crack house”. With his recent successes with the massive La Roux remix and Wile Out track with Ms Dynamite slaying dancefloors expect big things from this true dance music hero on his headlining turn at the Block Party.

Electro-disco upstarts Punks Jump Up are true party starters in the underground, cutting edge DIY scene, but have not shied away from a good melody remixing acts like Miike Snow, Gossip, Crystal Castles, Lykke Li and Kele to name but a few! ★ HATCHA
When the history of dubstep gets told it will be no overstatement to say the entire genre bares his stamp. Hatcha’s roots seep deep back into late ‘90s UK garage, Croydon and pirate radio; he was one of the very first DJs to pick up on the new dark strains of 2step that became dubstep. Today he is still one of the most in-demand bass heavy DJs, destroying dancefloors across the world.

One of the most exciting live acts on the dubstep scene Tek One deliver a massive payload of sub-bass sounds to make you move. The live show is a mash-up of live drums, MC, beats, bass and synths playing a mix of original tracks as well as their own interpretations of dubstep dancefloor anthems. Watch out for this not to miss moment on the Block!

Festival legend DJ Derek is a 70-something year old ex-accountant whom not only sports cracking cardigans but also has one of the biggest ska, dub & reggae record collections in the UK. A favourite fixture at festivals from Bestival to Glasto, Derek's sets are renowned for his sunny selections and bad man MCing! See it to believe it...

★ UTAH SAINTS
Legendary rave duo Utah Saints go all the way back to the early days of house music. Their massive track Something Good hit the charts again two years with a new remix and in more recent years the pair have been building a new reputation as a force in the breakbeat scene. WRISTBAND EXCHANGE

Tickets must be exchanged for wristbands & free event guides at the rear of the Old Fire Station between 8.00pm and 10.30pm on the night. The latest time for guaranteed exchange is strictly 10.30pm.
