Liebe Electrofans,

unter dem Motto „Bässer – Härter – Lauter“ steht das E-tropolis Festival seit 2010 für exzellente elektronische Musik, komprimiert in einem geballten Event, dessen Bandbreite die dunklen Facetten der elektronischen Musik in ihrer Vielfalt zu meisterhaft zu vereinen versteht.

DAS E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL ZIEHT UM NACH OBERHAUSEN!!!

Ein altes Sprichwort besagt: „Wer rastet, der rostet“! So ist nach drei wunderbaren Festivals in Berlin der Moment gekommen für 2014 ein neues Kapitel aufzuschlagen und mit einem Tapetenwechsel weiter den frischen Wind zu bewahren. 2014 zieht das E-tropolis Festival um und findet nun am 22. Februar in der Turbinenhalle Oberhausen statt.

Die Turbinenhalle bietet neben dem passenden Ambiente und einer authentischen Vergangenheit die perfekten Bedingungen für ein Festival zur Winterzeit.

Der 1909 errichtete Komplex wurde bis in die 1980er Jahre zur Erzeugung von Strom und Druckluft für die westfälische Stahlindustrie genutzt und schließlich in den 1990er Jahren komplett für Kulturveranstaltungen mit 2 Live Bühnen, Disco Area, Indoor Händlermeile und vielem mehr umfunktioniert. Genügend Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Haus tragen ebenfalls zu einem entspannten Festivalerlebnis bei!

E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL 2014 – LINE-UP KOMPLETT!

Nach APOPTYGMA BERZERK, DIE KRUPPS, HOCICO, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, FADERHEAD, TYSKE LUDDER, CHROM, XOTOX und -RX, welche die erste Bestätigungswelle bildeten, ist es uns eine Freude Euch bereits heute alle übrigen Bands für das E-tropolis Festival 2014 ankündigen zu dürfen.

„Bässer – Härter – Lauter“ - geht es 2014 in Oberhausen voll zur Sache! Wenn einer unser Festivalmotto vom Scheitel bis zur Sohle verinnerlicht hat, dann Electro-Dampframme Johan van Roy. Auch nach über 25 Jahren feuert die Szene-Institution mit SUICIDE COMMANDO weiter aus allen Rohren. Erfolgreich wie nie zuvor, katapultierte sich van Roy mit dem brandneuen Album „When Evil Speaks“ soeben mitten in die Deutschen Albumcharts.

Machten sich AGONOIZE in ihren Anfangstagen immer einen Spaß daraus großen Acts auf Festivals und Club-Konzerten die Schau zu stehlen, entwickelte das Aggrotech-Trio in den vergangenen 10 Jahren ein feines Gespür für tanzbare Provokation die haften bleibt, und beeindruckende Shows aus harten Beats und drastischen Splattereffekten. Ihr Auftritt beim E-tropolis Festival 2011 gilt bereits als legendär, nun nehmen AGONOIZE die Turbinenhalle ins Visier.

Bis hierhin erwartet Euch bereits ein heftiges Line-Up, doch das war noch längst nicht alles. Freut Euch zudem auf spektakuläre Auftritte von ROTERSAND, POUPPÉE FABRIKK, DIVE und STEINKIND sowie 6 DJs auf dem Partyfloor!

OFFIZIELLE PRE-PARTY @ KULTTEMPEL OBERHAUSEN
Neben dem festivaleigenen Programm wird es in diesem Jahr auch erstmals eine E-tropolis Pre-Party geben.

Bevor die Turbinenhalle am Samstag ihre Türen für das Festivalpublikum öffnet, bittet der Kulttempel Oberhausen am Freitag, den 21.02. mit der „Sleepwalker Night“ zur offiziellen Einstimmung auf das E-tropolis Festival 2014.

Ab 22:00 Uhr heizen Euch dort DJ Elvis, DJ Frank Ahdafi und Gäste ein. Der Eintritt beträgt für Besucher mit Festivalticket 3,00 €, ohne Festivalticket sind es 5,00 €. Tickets sind ausschließlich an der Abendkasse des Clubs erhältlich, solang der Vorrat reicht.

Dear Electro fans,

in proving the slogan „darker – harder – louder“, the E-tropolis Festival stands for excellence in electronic music since 2010. Packed in a massive event, its broad variety masterfully achieves to combine the dark facets of electronic music.

E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL RELOCATED TO OBERHAUSEN!!!

An old proverb says: „a rolling stone gathers no moss“! Thus, after three marvelous festivals in Berlin, the time has come to move forward and to begin a new chapter for 2014, to keep everything fresh by a nice change of scenery. Accordingly in 2014 the E-tropolis Festival will change location and relaunch on 22nd February at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen.

Together with the fitting ambience and its authentic historic background, the Turbinenhalle will provide the ultimate scenery for a winter-set festival.

In fact, the complex, established in 1909, was used for the production of power and steam-pressure for the Westphalian steel industry until the 1980s and got transformed into a center for cultural events during the early 1990s, now providing two live stages, a disco area, an indoor merchant gallery and much more. Sufficient parking space right in front of the venue also contributes to a relaxed festival experience!

E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL 2014 – LINE-UP COMPLETED

Following APOPTYGMA BERZERK, DIE KRUPPS, HOCICO, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, FADERHEAD, TYSKE LUDDER, CHROM, XOTOX and -RX, who formed the first wave of artists, been confirmed for 2014, it is our pleasure to already announce the remaining six bands of the line-up, just today.

„Darker – harder – louder“ than the rest, 2014 will bring the noise to Oberhausen! If anyone stands for the E-tropolis motto from head to toe, it´s definitely the Belgian steam-hammer Johan van Roy. Active for more than 25 years, the scene-institution keeps on firing away with SUICIDE COMMANDO´s guns blazing at full blast. More successful than ever, van Roy´s latest release „When Evil Speaks” recently rocketed right into the center of the German album charts. For the first time in history, by the way!

While AGONOIZE developed a sporty fun out of stealing away the attention from superior acts on festivals and club-gigs in their early days, the Aggrotech-trio nurtured their fine sense for danceable provocation that sticks in your mind and impressive concerts over the past ten years. Always on top of their game with heavy beats and shocking explicitness their standout performance at the E-tropolis Festival 2011 deservedly became a legend. Now AGONOIZE are back, aiming their next shot at Oberhausen.

If you think this already makes a killer line-up, be sure there´s even more to come. So you may also look forward to spectacular performances by ROTERSAND, POUPPÉE FABRIKK, DIVE and STEINKIND as well as 6 DJs at the partyfloor!

While the festival´s own party offerings appear reinforced with a bigger line-up, we are also delighted to announce the first official E-tropolis pre-party, hosted by Kulttempel Oberhausen.

Before doors of the Turbinenhalle open on Saturday, the nearby “Kulttempel”-club will turn Friday night, 21.02., into an official pre-opening extravaganza.

A special E-tropolis edition of the “Sleepwalker Night” with DJ Elvis, DJ Frank Ahdafi and guests begins at 10:00 pm. For attendants with E-tropolis festival ticket admission is 3,00 €, without festival ticket it´s 5,00 €. Tickets for the party are available at the door only.
