Description

R5 Productions Presents:

Lazers Never Die Tour:

Diplo (Major Lazer):

Philly's own famed M.I.A. Grammy Award Nominated Producer / Hollertronix Mastermind / NinjaTune & Big Dadda Recording Artist / Pitchfork's Favorite Hyped Producer & DJ / Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gwen Stafini and Tv On The Radio Remixer / Spin Magazine's DJ of The Year and humanist with his non-profit organization giving musical equipment to poor children around the world. Diplo has seen his profile rise exponentially, first with the issue of Hollertronix's fantastic Never Scared mixtape, then with the issue of his own debut Florida on Big Dada, then with his affiliation and now wildly infamous "Piracy Funds Terrorism" mixtape w/ M.I.A and now the man behind producing 2008's biggest "hit" Paper Planes! + the smash success of his Jamican/Dub/Dancehall album - Major Lazer. Those videos still scare us.

Rusko:

Rusko is a dubstep DJ/producer who is closely affiliated with Caspa, a fellow DJ/producer who is an influential figure within the dubstep community, not only as an artist but as the founder of several influential labels (i.e., Storming Productions, Dub Police, Sub Soldiers). The two sometimes perform as the duo Caspa & Rusko, including a DJ set at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival. As a solo artist, Rusko (born Chris Mercer and originally from Leeds, England) made his production debut in 2006 on Dub Police with SNES Dub and released a double 12", Babylon, Vol. 1, on Sub Soldiers in 2007. The latter included the popular track "Cockney Thug." Besides his affiliation with Caspa's network of labels, Rusko has also released his productions on labels including 2nd Drop Records.

Sleigh Bells:

Hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Catchy rustling beats that sound like you're at a high school football game. Check out songs such as A/B Machines, Crown on the ground, and Ring Ring. They'll be touring with Major Lazer in the beginning of spring and then come back to support Yeasayer.
