KRS-ONE
Throughout his 20 year career trajectory legendary pioneer Krist Parker who goes by the pseudonym KRS-ONE (Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone) has given fans over a dozen classic Hip-Hop albums, spoke at more then 500 universities/colleges including Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Oxford, been nominated for Grammy Awards, received multiple RIAA certified gold and platinum sales accolades and become the definitive source for conscious urban music. Nicknamed “The Teacha” the New York native and acclaimed MC has been honored by the United Nations, Billboard Magazine, The Source, BET Hip-Hop Awards, VH-1’s Hip-Hop Honors and Harvard University to name a few. He has been given the keys to the city in Kansas City, Philadelphia and Compton, was nominated for the NACA 1992 Harry Chapman Humanitarian Award, holds the Reebok Humanitarian Award and three Ampex Golden Reel Awards. KRS One is viewed as the embodiment of the philosophical, sociological and political worldview espoused originally by those that participate in Hip Hop’s culture. He is presently one of the most outspoken leaders of Hip Hop’s politics and tradition. His integration of Hip Hop and metaphysical knowledge resonates throughout his music, lectures, and writings as his powerful presence continues to inspire generations. As Rolling Stone once put it, “He’s one of the most influential lyricists of all time.”

PETE ROCK
Peter Phillips (born June 21,1970), better known by his stage name PETE ROCK, is an American record producer, DJ and rapper. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one half of the critically acclaimed group Pete Rock & CL Smooth. After the duo went their separate ways, Rock continued with a solo career that has garnered him worldwide respect, though little in the way of mainstream success. Along with groups such as Stetsasonic, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and Gang Starr, Rock played a major role in the merging of elements from jazz into hip hop music (also known as jazz rap). He is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time, and is often mentioned alongside DJ Premier, the RZA, and J Dilla as one of the mainstays of 1990s East Coast hip hop production. Pete Rock is also the older brother and younger cousin, respectively, of rappers Grap Luva and the late Heavy D.

IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE
Felipe Andres Coronel, better known by the stage name Immortal Technique, is an American rapper of Afro-Peruvian descent as well as an urban activist. He was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Harlem, New York. Most of his lyrics focus on controversial issues in global politics. The views expressed in his lyrics are largely commentary on issues such as class struggle, poverty, religion, government and institutional racism.
Appearing for the second time in Bristol following his sell-out show at R+R last year, Tech will be showcasing new material as well as his latest album 'The Martyr.'

MYSTRO
Honing his craft since very young MysDiggi aka MYSTRO has built a reputation as one of UK hip-hop’s brightest vocal talents, releasing a string of critically acclaimed solo singles and EPs, as well as lending his skills to releases by a who’s who of British heavy weights, including Blak Twang, Rodney P and Ty. Mystro is a natural showman who blends blends political and comical satire with mellow yet hard hitting beats.

LEAFDOG+BVA
One of the most talked about duos in underground UK hiphop and one half of supergroup Four Owls, LEAFDOG + BVA (The Three amigo's) return for another R+R appearance. The High Focus artists are fresh off a year where they played almost 100 live shows all over the globe and this year looks set to be every bit as prosperous.

RAG 'N' BONE MAN
Rory Graham aka RAG ‘N’ BONE man is a soul and blues singer deeply rooted in the annals of the past but positioned firmly in the present and future of the underground UK music scene. Having moved to Brighton in 2009 and swiftly forging music-making ties with producer Gizmo and DJ Direct, Rag ‘N’ Bone man’s musical journey took a turn for the interesting when he began collaborating with South coast super crew Rum Committee. Dozens of live shows later, both plugged and unplugged, Rag ‘N’ Bone man released his first fully fledged solo release to critical acclaim late last year.

SPLIT PROHETS
Split Prophets are a Bristol based collective of MC's behind the beats of Krate Krusaders DJ Badhabitz. This Bristol based foul-mouthed group of misfits are currently one of the biggest names in UK hip hop following the release of Scribbled Thoughts, Home by 8 and upcoming releases 'Drugs Booze and dental Issues' and 'Weedmason's' e.p's. Catch the Prophets at the start of a busy summer which also features appearances of Boombap, Outlook and Boomtown festivals amongst many others.
