Get ready for one of the biggest bands in the world, The Foo Fighters coming live from one of the world's most famous stadiums, Wembley on Friday 6 June and Saturday 7 June 2008.
2007 has been yet another banner year for Foo Fighters in the UK: the band's sixth studio album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace entered the UK chart at #1 with the biggest first week sales by an international artist in 2007 and the biggest first week sales ever on iTunes UK. The already platinum-plus record's second single, 'Long Road To Ruin,' will be released on December 3rd.
This announcement fulfils the promise The Foo Fighters made to the Wembley crowd at Live Earth, when lead singer Dave Grohl declared he could play at Wembley all night but that he’d make do with “a couple more songs”. After finishing their five track set, Grohl then shouted to the crowd: “you know we’ll come back and play here … eventually”.
The concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 1.
