PINEDA DE MAR, BARCELONA. From the 2nd to 9th of July
Welcome to the Pineda Psychobilly Meeting 2014!
This is the 22nd year of the festival and we were planning to go back to the beach venue where the festival was held 3 years ago, but due to law changes, it's an official matter and bureaucracy is extremly slow, and we did ask for permissions last year but since we have not received a positive answer yet, we have decided to host it at the same location as last year, "Can Xaubet".
As every year there will be a wide selection of music to please everyone!
In this issue directly from the West Coast of the United States some special guests , the thunderous ...... THE SONICS , the wildest band from the 60's , an unique opportunity to see them live for the first time at a Psychobilly festival!
THE METEORS, Kings of Psychobilly will be back and after many years DEMENTED ARE GO will join us again to our stage, legendary bands with brand new albums as LONG TALL TEXANS, RICHOCHETS, BLUE CATS and FRENZY are eager to surf with you again, as is the crazy Smeg, frontman of KING KURT.
After 25 year away, we are happy to announce the return of the mythical band THE NITROS, original line up (John O'Malley, Gary Day, Rich Taylor).
By popular demand SIR PSYKO AND HIS MONSTERS will be back along with some of last revelations such as THE GRIMS from L.A. and The ZIPHEADS from U.K.
For the first time we will enjoy a war drums with THE MONSTERS, we'll enjoy again KOFFIN KATS amazing shows and the Canadians THE BRAINS and GUTTER DEMONS.
Can't miss the small dose of wild Rockabilly from Las Vegas, DELTA BOMBERS! The only and freakiest one man band : REVEREND BEAT MAN, SILVER SHINE and ATI EDGE directly from Hungary, the fresh air of THE FROGS, visiting for the first time: THEE CREEPFREAKS from London, BLUE ROCKIN' from Berlin and the Klub Foot survivors WIGSVILLE SPLIFFS on the Beach Bar.
Every year our pre party on Wednesday is dedicated to bands from the same country...this year is Germany's turn...a country with a looooong psychobilly history... PITMEN, SUNNY DOMESTOZS , THEE FLANDERS and DEVIL'N'US .
We hope you like it!!!! And remember all of it comes with sun, beautiful sea, parties at the beach, great music and plenty of psychos ready to have the time of their lives.
