Now in it's third year, the worlds only family friendly multi day indoor dub, roots and reggae festival, the United Nations Of Dub Weekender (U.N.O.D Weekender) is back at Pontins 'Prestatyn Sands' self catering holiday park in North Wales from 24th - 26th April 2015 for another instalment of bass fuelled fun and games featuring some of the biggest artists and sound systems out there.

Spread over six indoor arenas there is a steady supply of music from midday to 5am, including an indoor heated swimming pool. The other five rooms are all housed in the main Pontins building and are split into two 1500 capacity arena's which are used for the main sound system sessions, the live P.A's and DJ sets from the world class artists, there are also three smaller arena's which are used to host the 'Selectors Arena', cinema and education zone.

ARENA 1: SOUND SYSTEM ARENA… At previous U.N.O.D Weekenders this room has been EPIC, over the 3 days it has hosted some of the biggest dances ever to take place in the UK and the vibe has been magical with over 1500 like minded people from all over the world skanking the night away together with some of Europe's largest sound systems and has featured Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti-i, OBF, King Earthquake, Iration Steppas, Jah Tubby's, Channel One, Young Warrior, Word Sound & Power, Blackboard Jungle, Jah Youth, Imperial Sound Army, Kibir La Amlak and Maasai Warrior.

For next year as well as the main night time sessions we are also running day time 'Sound Off' sessions in this room which will give six up and coming sound systems the opportunity to play in front of an international audience of their peers.

ARENA 2: U.N.O.D x MUNGO'S HI-FI ARENA… After the success of this arenas format last year we are partnering up with Mungo's Hi-Fi again, one of the most forward thinking sound systems in Europe who are fresh off the festival circuit where they have hosted stages at both Glastonbury and Outlook Festival and will be bringing their unique vibe to this 1500 capacity space for the full 3 days. As well as appearances by the very special guests that Mungo's Hi-Fi will be bringing along to showcase their Scotch Bonnet record label we have an ever growing list of headline acts to announce later this year.

ARENA 3: SELECTORS ARENA… For most people was one of the highlights of both pervious U.N.O.D festivals with it's extravagant decor and extremely powerful custom built sound system coming together to create a very unique bass filled environment. Next year will be no different, and once again we'll be booking the biggest underground sound men (and women), MC's and bass music DJ's to keep the vibes bubbling.

ARENA 4: THE INDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL… We weren't sure if there was going to be much of a demand for the swimming pool when we were originally planning U.N.O.D 2013… THERE WAS, so we did it again in 2014 with selectors from the likes of OBF, Blackboard Jungle, Stand High Patrol, Cian Finn and JahRevelation Muzik playing to the masses. Next year on Saturday and Sunday afternoon the pool party is back with even more world class selectors and MC's… Don't forget to pack your swimwear.

ARENA 5: THE CINEMA… This one speaks for itself. We will be showing some exclusive dub, roots and reggae related movies and documentaries and digging out a few classics for your enjoyment. So if your legs get a bit tired and you fancy chilling out then head up to the cinema.

ARENA 6: THE EDUCATION ZONE aka THE PUB… Over the weekend there will be several informal Q&A sessions with the various headline artists letting them talk to the people about the industry and their personal experiences being part of it. Next year will be no different and we will be bringing in more big names to expand this side of the festival.

The unique thing about the U.N.O.D Weekenders is that you not only get to experience a world class musical line up indoors with like minded people of all ages from all across the globe but the fact they are held on a holiday park by the sea with over 350 self catering apartments each comfortably sleeping between 2 and 7 people per apartment, this means there's no setting up tents, getting covered in mud if it rains (or snows) or queueing for taxi's at the end of the night to get you home, you can simply stroll back to your apartment and chill out whenever you feel like it. All the apartments are fully kitted out with clean bedding, shower, heating, TV… with a dedicated 24 hour U.N.O.D channel, cooker, microwave and pots and pans (if you feel like cooking) and there are also plenty of on site facilities including a well stocked supermarket, all day restaurant, fish & chip shop, burger bars, amusement arcade and cash points.
