Description
From MTV.com: "Thanks to all of you die-hard fans, stans, and everyone in between, the 2015 MTV Fandom Awards was one of the biggest events of the year! Hosted by 'Scream' queen Bella Thorne and 'Teen Wolf' fan favorite and Fandom Awards-alum Tyler Posey during Comic-Con International: San Diego, this year's celebration of all things fandom-related really kicked it into high gear. From appearances by your fave celebrities to exclusive live performances, there's no doubt that the sequel to last year's show (unlike most) didn't disappoint.
After Bella and Tyler got the crowd pumped, the first award of the night was given to the cast of CW newcomer 'iZombie' for Best New Fandom Of The Year (don't worry - no brains were harmed during the taping of this award show). Next up was one of the most jaw-dropping awards of the night - Feels Freak Out Of The Year - and thankfully 'Pretty Little Liars' Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn were on hand to accept the prize for the show's unbelievable reveal of 'A' a.k.a. "Charles." The only way to top that moment? Tyler Posey stripping way, WAY down on stage for a special announcement, which pretty much turned the crowd into one giant heart eyes emoji. Can you blame them?!
Rock juggernauts All Time Low hit the stage to perform a super energetic set including hits like "Something's Gotta Give" and "Dear Maria, Count Me In." Following their performance, Arrow duo "Olicity" took home the coveted Ship Of The Year award, and Fifth Harmony's 'Harmonizers' struck gold by winning Fandom Army Of The Year. After an ~emotional~ clip montage of all the iconic TV characters we lost this year (seriously - only watch if you have tissues handy), the biggest award of the night was ready to be given out.
In a massive Fandom Of The Year bracket chock full of fandoms (32, to be exact), your favorites battled it out for the top spot over the last few weeks. So who was your #1 pick? 'The Hunger Games' took home the ultimate prize, with Willow Shields (shout out to Prim!) there to graciously accept the award on behalf of the movie's cast and crew. Since it would've been nearly impossible to follow that giant win, the 2015 Fandom Awards closed down the only way they could - with a seriously epic performance from genre-busting rapper Flo Rida. Like we said - this year's show was BIG."
