TRANCE ENERGY ANNOUNCES MELBOURNE!
Easter weekend 2009
Australia’s electronic music aficionados have been abuzz since Trance Energy’s Easter weekend Australian tour dates were announced at the beginning of this year, with a line-up that reads like a veritable who’s who of the global progressive and trance scenes.
With just over one week to go and the hype and overwhelming excitement for the Trance Energy juggernaut reaching fever pitch across the country, the festival organisers are announcing set times, city by city, commencing with Melbourne, the trance capital of Australia.
With Mr Rudd’s economic stimulus cheque burning a hole in Australia’s collective back pocket, the timing could not be more perfect for trance fans!
The folks at ID&T, the creators of Trance Energy have now released full details for Melbourne’s Easter Friday event at Calder Park, to assist with planning out your day: Set times, venue map, public transport and taxi details can all be found here or on www.trance-energy.com.au for up-to-the-minute information.

Please note that in order to meet connecting services from the city, Connex recommends departing from Watergardens no later than 10:48 PM
We recommend purchasing a return ticket prior to the event, to ensure that you are not delayed on your journey home.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
We will be providing a fleet of 25 shuttle buses to meet train services to and from Calder Park. These shuttles will operate throughout the day, and at peak times will aim to meet the train services departing Watergardens station.
The shuttle service will cost $6 one way, with all profits donated to the Good Friday Appeal. To ensure that the shuttles are not unduly delayed, please have the correct change ready for when you board the shuttles at Watergardens station. We will have staff on the ground at Watergardens to assist you in your journey to the event.
All Shuttle buses will pick up and drop off on the East side of Watergardens Station, next to the Watergardens shopping complex. As it is Good Friday, please note that most shops will not be trading in this complex.
It is important that you purchase your shuttle ticket for the trip back to Watergardens station during the day. These can be purchased from all coupon points at trance Energy.
To ensure that you don’t miss any of the action at the festival, all international acts will finish at 10pm.
TAXIS
All major taxi operators have been briefed on the details of the event. A trip from Calder Park to the City costs approximately $45. If you are catching a taxi, we recommend filling it up with your mates to get the best value out of your trip.
We will be operating a Taxi Rank from the National Circuit at Calder Park, so the flow of available Taxis should be consistent. Please note that Taxi operators have been briefed not to pick up patrons from any of the major arterials in the interest of public safety. The best place to catch a cab is from the event site rank.
AFTER PARTY SHUTTLES
If 18 international acts still aren’t enough to quench your festival thirst, there will be after parties held in the City and Hawthorn. If you plan on partying into the night, these after parties will be providing a bus service straight to the club. Keep your eyes peeled for our promoters on the day to pre purchase your tickets. Alternatively, you can buy your tickets to the after parties before the event.
PRIVATE VEHICLE PARKING AND DROP OFF
We will be providing a secure, and patrolled car park outside of the Thunderdome for patrons intending to drive to Trance Energy. There will be a fee of $10 per car for this car park and $20 per bus.
The general admission car park is accessible from Calder Park Drive. Please have your ticket ready when you drive into our car park to ensure minimum delays. Platinum ticket holders will park for free via Gate 7, which is the south western entrance on Calder Park drive, near the railway line.
Please keep your mates in mind if you are driving, and ensure that if you are bringing your own vehicle that you are not taking any risks on the road. With this in mind, don’t drink and drive, and take it easy on the trip home.
If you are getting dropped off by friends or family, please take a look at the site map on our website, and identify the designated drop off areas.
If you are planning on chartering any of your own Limo’s or buses to Trance energy, please drop us a line at info@trance-energy.com.au so we can send you and your drivers some info.
BY FOOT
Please note, that Calder Park is not accessible by foot, and we discourage leaving the event site by foot. The major arterial roads make transport by foot very dangerous, and all taxi operators have been briefed not to pick up passengers on any of the surrounding roads.
Please take a moment to plan your trip with your friends. What is important to us, is that you enjoy your day, and make it home safe and sound. If you require any assistance or guidance please enquire with one of our staff, or head to the info stand during the day.
OTHER INFO
Please refer to the site map on the day for the location of the Taxi and Shuttle service ranks. We would ask that you pre purchase your shuttle bus wristband during the day to ensure that you are not delayed in your trip home.
