Movement: FUSE-IN was DJ and KMS producer Kevin Saunderson's first year for taking over the helm organizing the festival which continues to be known by its original name "Detroit Electronic Music Festival" or DEMF. Held at Hart Plaza which is on the Detroit Riverfront hosting festivals throughout the warmer months of the year.
The festival was pulled together within a scant four months and was the first time that the festival was held as a paid admission event. Attendance was down a bit from 2004 but it was the first year that an actual ticket count could be offered at 41,220 paid admissions (this doesn't include several thousand performers, staff persons, vendors, etc). Four stages were ran around the grounds of the festival.
