Aeon Festival is back for the August Bank Holiday for 3 days of fun and wicked music at the gorgeous Shobrooke Park Estate in Crediton, Devon. Taking place from the 28th – 30th August, the theme is Sci-Fi Adventures, so get planning your dressing up box. This year the little festival sees its best line up yet with some of the country’s hottest up and coming acts playing over the weekend across 3 stages. There’s also a cinema tent and chill out space, children’s area with art workshops, forest school, puppet theatre and play space, a new urban stage featuring HipHop, Breakdancing, MC and graffiti crews and a Buskers’ corner where songsters can have their 15 minutes of fame and raise money for charity at the same time. And all this for just £45 for the long weekend including camping from Friday through to Monday. Under 12s are free. Cabaret Voltaire conjure up a tent full of comedy genius, global sounds and funky DJs mixed up with fine ales, local cider and other delectable beverages.

Murray Lachlan Young :a British performance poet whose humorous work enjoyed a spectacular vogue during the mid-1990s. He was the first poet to be given a £1 million record deal, when he signed to EMI amid a blaze of publicity in 1996. He released an album, Vice And Verse.

Byron Vincent a regular at many of the UK’s most prestigious music and literary events including, Cheltenham festival of literature, Oxford literature festival, Glastonbury festival of performing arts and Latitude festival.

Jude Simpson Stand-up poet and slam winner combines insightful observational comedy with witty wordplay, poetry, rap and song to create a unique act which leaves audiences smiling, laughing and occasionally hungry. “Hilarious” - Guardian. “A joy. Her lines sparkle with wit and panache“ - Scotsman.

Nathan Filer The award winning stand-up poet has been described as blurring the edges of poetry, comedy and theatre. He maintains that these edges were never all that defined in the first place, unlike say: competetive swimming and badger baiting. Of which he condones neither."

A.F. Harrold A performance poet and odd chap who does things with words on stages and radio stations around the country. He was 2008’s poet-in-residence at Glastonbury Festival.’
Tim Clare has appeared on Radio 1 and 2, written for the Guardian and The Times, and presented the Channel 4 series How To Get A Book Deal. His memoir is about giving up your dreams is called We Can't All Be Astronauts.
