  Israel is God's chosen people according to the Old Testament. Since Rastafaris a perverted version of the Abrahamitic religions there is a lot of references to biblical things in Reggae music. Other examples include The Congos - Ark of the Covenant and Abyssinians - Abendego. The latter is a reference to a prophet from the Book of Daniel.

    it isn't a "perversion" of any kind, just a natural evolution/offshoot of the Abrahamic faith. is Christianity a "perversion of Judaism? is Islam a "perversion" of those? show some respect!

  If they had their own scripture that was thelogically consistent I would cut them some slack. However, when your entire religion is based off of gross misinterpretations of old testament prophecy and your emphasis is on rituals rather than theological consistency you will rightly be considered a joke to the rest of the world. Comparing Rastafari to Islam or Judaism is laughable, a better comparison is Scientology, Jehovas Wittnesses, Seven day evangelism and other trash.
