Вирь (Vir') is a Russian sludge band formed by guitarist/vocalist Sergey Milushkin and drummer Alexey Andreev. The name Vir' is taken from I.A.Bunin's poem. The first live performance was on March 9th, 2000 in club "Intoyo". Within the next 5 years the band has recorded three demos and played more than fifty concerts in Moscow, S.Petersbourg, N. Novgorod, Vyborg, Kronstadt, etc.
In the 2006 the debut album has been released.
In 2008 Vir' (as a solo project of Sergey Milushkin) released a second studio album with a markedly different sound, approximately defined as the drone \ noise.
