Ai Tomioka was born in Tokyo and grew up in Australia from age 4 until high school. She is a university student and singer-songwriter who self-produces all aspects of her work, including lyrics, composition, artwork, and video production.
In June 2023, her video of "Good bye-bye" went viral, reaching 3 million views in a week. The single was released in September 2023 and achieved notable chart success on Spotify: 1st in Taiwan, 3rd in South Korea, 4th in Malaysia, 8th in Singapore, 13th in Japan, and 47th in Hong Kong. Her total social media views now exceed 200 million.
In 2024, Ai received numerous collaboration offers. The Korean version of "Good bye-bye," featuring BIG Naughty, gained attention. In April, her street performance in Hongdae attracted over 800 people, and in June, she became the first Japanese artist to perform at the "Tone&Music Festival."
Her viral hit "Koi suru wakusei 'Anata'," popular among Gen Z, was featured as an insert song in the Netflix series "Renai Battle Royale." Ai Tomioka is one of the most anticipated singer-songwriters of 2024.
