Kaori Mochida (持田香織, born March 24th, 1978 in Koto, Tokyo) is Japanese singer-songwriter, vocalist of the J-Pop band Every Little Thing. Prior to debut as ELT's vocalist she were a member of the idol girl group 黒BUTAオールスターズ, and she also release the idol single "もう一度" in 1993, which became her solo debut work. Once she joined Every Little Thing she sporadically recorded some solo material, such as "in case of me" produced by Tetsuya Komuro for the charity project song+nation, and later on 井上陽水 cover "いつのまにか少女は", produced by the artist himself. However, she just started her solo career officialy once her band reached their 10th Anniversary in music, releasing her first official solo single in her label Avex "雨のワルツ" in September 2009. In April she formed the special unit Caocao along with Takao Tajima, and released the single "個人授業". Kaori's first solo album, entitled moka, was released on August 12, 2009.
