花*花 (HANA*HANA) is a Japanese pop (j-pop) duo consisting of members Kojima Izumi (born April 6, 1976) & Ono Makiko (born November 23, 1976). They debuted officially in 2000.
One of their most successful singles to date is "あーよかった" ("Ah~ yokatta"), which achieved a Top 100 Oricon chart ranking in 1999 and was used widely as a cellphone ringtone in Japan. They have also performed various theme songs for TV programs in Japan. Two notable ones are the popular "さよなら 大好きな人" ("Sayonara daisuki na hito") for TBS drama series Oyaji and the theme "ハナムケ ノ ハナタバ" ("Hanamuke no Hanataba") for the TBS travel series Sekai Ururun Taizaiki.
In 2003, they announced a pause in their group activities at the end of their tour. Presently, they appear to be engaging in solo activities.
