Really underrated. Quite sad most YMO fans don't look into his work.. it's on par with the other members, his solo career is just really good! 'What, Me Worry?' should appeal to anybody who loved Service.. etc..

he is incredibly good at making covers. flashback, an cover of a track that sakamoto did for a commercial, is one of my favorites

watched poisson d'avril (1985) after finally finding eng subs for it (6 years after getting into his discography) and it brought the nostalgia of my ymo hyperfixation but also mourned after knowing his passing. </3

I regret that I didn't know about him until after he passed away. Truly a brilliant artist. RIP.

His entire back catalog has now been remastered and is up on streaming worldwide. He gave us a one final gift from the great beyond. Thanks king.

Most will understandably reminisce about his 80s stuff, but I want to draw attention to Blue Moon Blue and Page By Page. His 00s glitch pop/micro sampling era was top tier. If you liked Sketch Show absolutely check these solo albums out.

I just heard the news and I’m honestly heart broken. Him and his music meant so much to me. He was a genius, with a very kind soul. His music will live on forever, thank you for everything Yukihiro. Rest In Peace.

Thank you so much Yukihiro Takahashi. The coolest voice and sharpest drumming that I've consistently heard for nearly half of my life now. Forever kicking myself for missing the Harry Hosono gig in 2018 but this just compounds it, I will never get to see my musical heroes all together now. It's not about me though, and he will live on through his seminal work and immense influence on music. The original cool synth boy.
