16Pad Noise Terrorist is a project by the S.K.E.T. member Candy Schlüer which appeared in the spotlight of the dark drum n bass scene in 2006 having 10 years experience in music production and DJing. Since 2000 Candy has been a resident DJ in the famous club in LE. He released as Paul.EBB some tapes as well as a 12" named "Patient X".
Stylistically, 16Pad Noise Terrorist in the direction of drum n bass, in the ominous side, with the plus of Industrial and the minus of Sunshine-Liquid Funk and strong in the direction of darkness. He is merging clear beats with distorted basslines and melodic synths into a rhythmic-emotional symbiosis that takes the listener out of the realm of everyday life for a short time. On the other hand, he use slow motion beats and patchcords to move ambient soundscapes into parallel sound universes. Influences from IDM, Punk, or even Rhythmic Noise are recognizable, what 16Pad Noise Terrorist under the flowery designation "Postnuclear Brutalism Funk" or "Dark Modular Funk" summarizes. With this background, it should also be mentioned that none other than DJ Hidden has repeatedly been responsible for the mastering his works.
