Biography
Despite being mostly wordless, 18 Seconds is a musical project employing a wide palette of emotions and images with help of an affluent sonic aesthetic and rich melodic tapestries intertwined to explore the darker side of the human soul.
Inspired by a wide range of musical influences, going from the Smashing Pumpking’s raging fuzzes to the cinematic atmospheres of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Pascal Normand started 18 Seconds in 2013, with its first EP « When Fog Dissipates ». Two years later, its first LP, « Crooked We Stand », was released. In 2020, after five years of creative conjuring, 18 Seconds return with a new EP, « If We’re Two We Might Not Be Alone ». And now, in the midst of a global pandemic, the new song « Allostasie » explore all the anxiety and fear, as well as resilience and the struggle to equilibrium.
