Biography
ABRACADABRA is a six-member modern, vibrant Budapest band, playing underground rock music, only their own songs. The songs have an important role in the unconventional lyrics, emphasized vocals, and the very typical guitar sound.
The band members are not full-time musicians, including a television director, a graphic designer, an engineer, an instrument maker, an IT specialist and a shop manager of a famous fashion network.
So far, the band released two albums in the 90's, then reunited in 2009, after a few year break. They managed a successful return gig in Club Raday. Video made for the title song (MEHETNENK DELRE) of the second album was a number one hit on the mid-nineties hungarian music channel.
After continuous gigs and studio work, they recently made available 3 new songs from their upcoming album. A brand new video for the song HOLNAPTOL will be also presented soon, directed by Judit Kocsis.
In the new songs and the video Zsanett Vatai (25, vocals) has got the major role. The extremely red-haired and extremely charismatic singer of the band, who joined the band last year, has become the favorite of the fans.
In March 2012 ABRACADABRA reached to participate the Hungarian final of Battle of the Bands of Hard Rock Café.
