There are three bands with the name "AOP", one from Japan, one from Sweden, and one from Germany:
1) AOP is the latest project from Swedish psych-connoisseurs Mattias Gustafsson (Dungen/Life On Earth!/Our Solar System) and Martin Fogelström (Life On Earth!/Our Solar System). As the name suggests, this is indeed a quite pop-oriented (adult at that) effort, but there’s certainly a good dose of psych involved as well. AOP’s sound relies heavily on the breezy side of production, while the arrangements are built on groovy bass and snappy drums beneath a veil of noise (soothing synths and hazy vibes). The tracks in here are definitely on the clever side of pop, and these tunes shine brighter with every spin!
2) A応P ("AOP") is a 8-member Japanese girl group. The name of AOP is the initial of "Anime O-EN Project" which means Anime Cheering Project in Japanese. The current members are 巴奎依 (Kei Tomoe), 広瀬ゆうき (Yuuki Hirose), 旭 優奈 (Yuuna Asahi), 工藤 ひなき (Hinaki Kudo), 小嶋 凛 (Rin Kojima), 堤 雪菜 (Yukina Tsutsumi), 春咲 暖 (Non Harusaki) and 星希 成奏 (Seena Hoshiki).
3) AOP is the often-used acronym for the German punk rock band Andioliphilipp
