Biography
Trio Acoustica
Stanley Samuelsen, Guitar, mandolin, vocal.
Øistein Rian; Guitar, vocal.
Steen-Vidar Larsen; Guitar, vocal.
The guitar skills and rich vocals of these three excellent musicians from Norway, Denmark and the Faroe Islands, will entrance and seduce any audience.
The Trio Acoustica perform their own songs in different Nordic languages, as well as the classical ballads they would like to have written themselves.
As well as Norway, the Faroe Islands and Denmark, they have played in Lithuania and Poland
They are as at home on a big festival stage as in small bars and folk clubs, restaurants, museums, high schools, or even a private living room!
Anyone of any age who enjoys the sounds of woven acoustic guitars and close harmony singing would appreciate a concert by the Trio, and would be keen to come back for more. They mix their rhythms and sounds from a broad palette of latin, blues, folk, bluegrass and jazz, and they have an ease and warmth of presentation that communicates directly with the audience.

Review from Trio Acoustica in Vilnius.
I had the good fortune to come across these guys (Stanley, Steen-Vidar and Oistein) at the Tai-As Festival in Vilnius last year (2007). Although we were on different legs of the tour round Lithuania, we all met up for the final concerts in Vilnius. It seems the Trio are old festival favorites there, and it was easy to see why. They’re all natural musicians, who blend their various strengths so effortlessly, it can be difficult to see who is actually doing what. Both the vocal and the guitar work combines for rich effect, and their confidence and ease with each other invites the audience in to create an intimate experience, even within the baroque grandeur of St Catherine’s, incidentally one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve ever seen.
Their music evokes the sunshine of California, the landscapes of Scandinavia, the cotton fields of the South, with dashes of Latin and jazz …. Three great players who play for the love of it, with no pretense or side! I’ll be looking out for their first dates over here in the UK, and I recommend you do too!
