1) Acrid was a mid-to-late 1990s Canadian band that focused on the uglier side of metalcore. Members of the band went on to play in acts like Grade and The Swarm.
2) Acrid is also a technical death metal band from The Netherlands, founded in 1994, that is still active now.
3) A thrash band from Germany that released 2 demos (Devil's Metal in '85 and Acrid Beasts in '86) before changing their name to Eternal Trash.
4) Acrid is also a death metal band from Maryland that is remains active and has released one demo, Purge the Weak.
