Biography
Adam Fan (born June 16, 2000, in Shandong, China), better known by his birth name Fan Chengcheng (pinyin: 范丞丞), is a chinese singer, rapper, dancer and actor. Before pursuing the artist career, he was known for being Fan Bingbing's younger brother.
Fan rose to fame after participating in the chinese survival show Idol Producer, managing to end at the #3 position on the final episode (aired April 4th, 2018), making his debut as a member of Nine Percent on November 20, 2018. Prior to that, Fan made his debut with NEX7, also known as NEXT (pinyin: 乐华七子NEXT) alongside other Yuehua Entertainment trainees who took part in Idol Producer, on June 19th, 2018.
Fan released his first solo single, I'M HERE on November 22, 2018. Later he released Dumb Show , featured on NEX7's album NEXT TO YOU, on December 7th, 2018.
His first mini album Like A Fan was released on his 19th birthday (June 16th, 2019), featuring the songs Dip Out, Finesse and Straight (featuring After Journey, who was one of the rap mentors during Idol Producer).
On November 8th, 2019, NEX7, rebranded as NEXT, released an album, NEXT BEGINS with the absence of Fan, sparking departure rumours, to no response from the group's company. Despite not taking part in the album or group promotions directly after its release, Fan rejoined them for performances (including of NEXT BEGIN's title track WYB, which he was not originally part of) towards the end of 2019 and remains an active member of the group.
