Biography

Adam Saunders is a multi award winning British composer with an outstanding international reputation for his work across both classical and commercial fields.

Adam studied at the Royal Academy of Music and London University, winning several prizes for composition. Following an early and fruitful position as composer-in-assocation with Sinfonia Viva, Adam has developed a diverse career as a composer. His concert works have been performed by major symphony orchestras worldwide and recorded and broadcast by networks including BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. Orchestras which have performed Adam’s music include the BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Bulgarian Film Orchestra and Chorus, Academy of Ancient Music, London Mozart Players, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, RTE Symphony Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra and the Hungarian Studio Orchestra, amongst others.

Alongside his work for the concert hall, Adam has written a great deal of music for the screen. His compositions have been used in thousands of major worldwide television productions, as well as Hollywood movies, winning an International Music and Sound Award in 2016 for music in advertising and winning the award for Best Score at the 2017 Production Music Awards. Adam is greatly involved with writing production music for major publishers including Universal Music and EMI Music Publishing.
