One of my favourite albums of all time and it nails the chilling sound of winter.

Probably their weakest, mostly because they were still working out their sound on this one, but it’s still fucking incredible and some of the best metal(?) music I’ve ever heard

Fantastic album, no doubt! Listen this one over and over again... and still not bored.

Among Fields of the Nephilim, Bergtatt and Brave Murder Day were chief influences here, and I think they captured the atmospheric essence of Bergtatt in a Cascadian style.

Message me for a 16 bit / 44 kHz vinyl rip of this awesome debut. All tracks are individually split and have correct tags. I've uploaded the whole Agalloch discography in vinyl on sendspace. Get at me.

Remeniscent of Ulver indeed, but still my favourite Agalloch record probably.

As much as I love this album, I think they were trying to be like Ulver too much. As Embers Dress The Sky is nearly identical to I Troldskog Faren Vild.
