Biography
Aki’s passion towards electronic music was kick-started before he even began his education at school with artists like Jean Michael Jarre, Brian Eno, Vangelis and other local inspirations filling his musical orientated mind with ideas. Aki’s maturity in music came throughout the late 90’s with more commercial influences. However, his true captivation of the dance music scene arrived after hearing some trance compilations from the likes of Paul Oakenfold and DJ Tiësto. Push led to shove and the desire to spin in clubs became evermore important. Aki landed gigs at Turku’s Choon!, Pinky and Liquid Crystal Sounds, and in 2005 he proved his worth as a developing DJ by landing 4th place as 'Best New DJ' at the Finnish Club Awards. Later that year Aki joined the star studded lineup at Finland's annual Laserpoint event. His abilities have also been recently reinforced, where in summer 2006 Aki was booked to play at Konemetsä, the open-air electronic music festival. As a developing DJ, Aki’s style doesn’t just focus on only the latest anthems. When this talent is behind the decks, prepare for an epic journey of forgotton classics merged with recent works of musical masterpiece!
